Hello there my lovelies:
Mother Nature please stop giving us a mix of weather!! It is -2C raining and snowing, is a total mess, boots today are definitely a must!!
Today is all about the taupe color. Taupe is a nice muted grey color that I love very much, but on my skin it looks very neutral and I don't know why but a little boring too. I think this color looks much better for lighter skin color than mine. Regardless on how I feel about it I still use it :) I also added a pop of color, more like an icy blue but the eyeshadow was very sheer that it looked taupe-y with a blue reflection somewhere in it, onto the products then.
Products Used:
EYES:
1. Urban Decay Primer Potion
2. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe
3. Quo Couture e/s duo in Beauty Mark
-taupe side (3/4 of the lid up to the crease)
-off white side (browbone)
4. Profusion Eyeshadow Wet/Dry Palette #04
- icy blue (3/4 lid)
- medium black (1/4 lid and crease)
5. Gosh Eyeliner Pen in 003 Brown (top lashline)
6. L'oreal Waterproof Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara

Manicure Monday: Orly Sweet Peacock
So today I have Orly Sweet Peacock. I just want to say that this is my most favorite color of all time. I worn this about 5 times and I fall in love each and every time.
This shade came in their Feathers of a Bird Collection back in 2011; I believe.
Orly Sweet Peacock: Electrifying Blue Foil
The application is just amazing and drying time is just average. I picked this up at Winners (which is a department store, they sell higher brand products at a discounted price). I paid $4.99, but I've seen it at Beauty Sally Supply being sold at $7.99, so not a bad deal but next time I see it i'll get a back up. I really love this polish ... I stare at it way too much every time I wear it, and I get many compliments too :)
I hope you liked this post, thanks for stopping by ... Take care!!

Quo Spring 2013 Collection "Edge of Opulance"
Hello My Beautiful Readers:
I'm so excited for Quo new collection that they are releasing for spring, which is now in stores. I think that Quo has definitely raised the bar for other companies. This collection was supposedly to be released in march but I guess they are launching it ASAP.
Quo is only sold at Shoppers Drugmart for limited time only.
What are they releasing:
1. Grace & Glamour Look palettes - 3 palettes called: Exotic Charm, Fluid Elegance, Sensual Enigma which contain 12 eyeshadows, 4 lip color glosses, 2 blushes for $20.
2. Pearl Eye Liner - 4 shades: Patina, Amethyst, Ice Pink and Platinum this is metallic eyeliner pencil very smooth when swatching for $8
First Row : Ice Pink, Patina Bottom Row: Amethyst, Platinum
3. Take A Brow Eyebrow Palette - includes 2 powder brow shades and a wax side for $10
4. Pearl Kisses Lip Gloss - in 4 shades: Delicate Plum, Mauve Magic, Neverending Nude and Passionate Pink it has a pump shoe golden decoration hanging on the side of the lip gloss.
5. Touch Of Pearl Brush Set - features 9 brushes including: foundation, concealer, blush, powder, all over shadow, crease blender, shadow smudger, liner/brow and lip also it has white handles and white bristles and a big makeup bag for $55.
I'm really excited for the palettes just because you can take it by itself and some brushes and you can have endless looks without taking so many items with you, specially if you are going on a long trip. I was also quite happy that they include a limited edition brush set but they are quite small and I won't pay $55 for travel size brushes. The eyeliners are definitely to go for as they are metallic and buttery soft and the colors are very nice. It could be something I might buy from the collection. If I could have money to spend I would buy the 3 palettes as they have really nice unique shades, I fell in love with them when I swatched them.
So have you seen this collection, would you buy any?
Thanks for stopping by ... I hope you like this post and please check me out either on Facebook or Instagram @canadianbeautyfinds thanks in advance

FOTD: Purple Obsession
Hi my beauty readers:
Messy, Messy, Messy that's the word of the day. Morning time was cloudy and quite cold but in the afternoon was snowing and very windy it look like a "snow-ricane" haha I like made up words.
Anyways, today I have a FOTD look. I love the color purple, is my most favorite color ever. So if you keep on seeing FOTD with purple don't get surprised. I won't be doing same looks but purple color might be involve.

Maybelline Mineral Power Blush
Hello My Dear Readers:
I'm so excited to do this post as I love Maybelline Power Mineral Blush. This are so amazingly pigmented and can be used during the summer time. Two years back I travel to a tropical place where the weather was delightfully hot and where everything melts if you are not careful, I took this blushes because I knew I was going to need a product that was going to last and not fade away when I sweat, and boy was I right!
This blushes did not budge and lasted all day without making my face prone to breakouts, and I couldn't feel the texture or that I was wearing it. I was so happy that I took this with me. In the winter time is good as well because it doesn't have any drying powder that will make my face dryer.
I love the color shades that maybelline made for this line. I believe this has been discontinued as I don't see them anywhere. Luckily, I found this at my local makeup warehouse, however these blushes are no longer available there either.
The shades I have are True Peach, Soft Mauve II and Gentle Pink.
Maybelline Mineral Power Blush Cap |
Maybelline Mineral Power Blush bottom |
True Peach: This is a matte Soft Peach
Soft Mauve II: This is a matte Soft Pink
Gentle Pink: This is a Salmony Shimmery Pink
With Flash: Top: Gentle Pink, Middle: Soft Mauve II, Bottom: True Peach
Maybelline Mineral Blush swatches with flash |
Without Flash: Top: Gentle Pink, Middle: Soft Mauve II, Bottom: True Peach
Maybelline Mineral Blush swatches with outflash |
So the application for this are pretty easy, although it can be messy as they are loose powder and you have to top off the excess. The best way to use it, is when you just drop some powder into the cap and use the amount from there, so you are not over blushing yourself. These gems as I previously stated found them at a cosmetic warehouse for $2.99 each and they had these 3 shades only. I don't know how many shades were they either.
I hope you have liked this post ... Take care.
P.S: I now have Instagram please check me out at canadianbeautyfinds as well on Facebook :) thanks in advance!!!

Manicure Monday: Sephora by OPI Rumba Romance
Hi my beautiful readers:
Happy Family Day!!! Today is the day where you stay at home and celebrate with your family "just another day" I don't even know why we have this holiday.
Anyways, Sephora by OPI is a very expensive nail polish brand even more expensive than any regular OPI. Thank goodness I found this color on sale for $5 on their website sephora.com, so I had to order some other things to get free shipping.
Rumba Romance came in the Summer Collection back from 2010, along with 5 other polishes.
The formula is sheer but it builds up nicely. For picture below it took 3 coats. In person it looks pretty opaque but in the picture below it looks like it has bold spots.
Sephora by OPI Rumba Romance: bronze-y gold with multi shimmer.
Somehow this color reminds me a lot from OPI latest "James Bond Collection" called the Goldeneye, the only thing is that Rumba Romance has more bronze and the Goldeneye is leaning more towards the gold. Anyways stay tune for the "Goldeneye" Manicure Monday along with Her Majesty's Secret Service. I don't know why but I always tend to buy at least two polishes from each collection.
I hope this was in any way useful if not I hope you enjoyed reading it, thanks for stopping by ... Take care!!!

Maybelline Color Whisper lip Color Swatches & Review
Today I'll be doing the most raved about product of the year so far, Maybelline Whisper color sensation. This have been compared to Revlon's Lip Butter which I did a review here.
I watched a few video reviews on YouTube, and it made me want to try them out. I bought this about two weeks ago and I instantly fell in love with them.
Below you can see what the packaging looks like. The colors I got are 90 Oh La Lilac and 25 Lust for Blush. The color whisper are definately not a dupe or remotely close to Revlon Lip Butter they both have different texture. The color whisper are buttery soft and moisturizing to the lips.
25 Lust for Blush: is a light pinky color, this has been compared to Mac Angel lipstick. I do not own the Mac one so I can't personally say it does.
90 Oh La Lilac: is a bright lilac color that its sheer first but after two more swipes it looks very true to its color. I really like this shade a lot, that I'm even thinking of getting a back up.
Overall, I really like this lip colors, they are very smooth and pigmented, however it doesn't last a very long time, maybe two hours max, which to me makes no difference, because any lip product doesn't last very long anyways, either low or high end brands. The prices for these are $6.99 each, compared to the Lip Butters by Revlon which were $8.99. I am definately interested in more colors if by any chance I decide to get more i'll do another post ... We'll see :)
So what do you think of them, would you buy any or have you bought any already? anyways thanks for reading ... take care and don't forget to check me out on Facebook or Instagram @canadianbeautyfinds thanks in advance

FOTD: Valentine Strawberry Shortcake Makeup Look
Hi lovelies,
Happy Valentines day!!! I made this look thinking of valentine and out of all the looks I've done I really like this one, this is a more subtle makeup look, a little smokey but very daytime wearable that can be worn to go to school, work or if you are running for errands. This is a look thats very easy to achieve. I also did a wing so it could elongate my eyes and not make it to appear to have smaller eyes. As well I did fill in my eyebrows but it was in the color blond so it kind of washed out my brows a bit. This reminded me of a valentines look because of the light peachy pink eyeshadow, also it reminded me more like a strawberry shortcake just because of the light pink frosting they use haha.
Products Used:
EYES:
1. Too Faced Shadow Insurance
2. Lise Watier in PĂŞche Melba
3, L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Forever Pink (used on 3/4 lid)
4. Wet N Wild 8 Pan Palette in 738 Comfort Zone
- Definer (used on 1/4 lid and crease)
- Crease (blend out crease color)
- Brow bone
5. L'oreal Telescopic Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
6. L'oreal Million Lashes & Maybelline Falsies in Flared
7. Annabelle Smoothliner in Bronze (lower lash line)
8. Clinique Bottom Lashes
FACE:
1. L'oreal Smooth Magic Soufflé
2. Essence Blush in 01 Renesmee Red

Annabelle Eyeshadows Swatches & Review Part 2
Hi my dear Readers:
A sunny day!! The sun is out and the temperatures are not bad making the snow melt ever so slowly, I guess spring is just around the corner, ok more like a block away but still is in the near future according to Mr. Groundhog which came out, meaning that spring is around 6 weeks away. According to the Weather Channel, Mr Groundhog is only 33% of the time that gets it right :( I guess one can only hope for the best.
On a brighter note today I have the second part to all my Annabelle Eyeshadows. This post is all about the colorful shades. If you want to see part I click here for the neutral shades.
Annabelle eyeshadows as I mention on my last post are very buttery and very pigmented. The price is very affordable and there are a great variety of shades to choose from. The price for each shade are about $5. They used to come in a magnetic pan, but now it's only in a pot much like Mac eyeshadow pots and refillable pans.
They used to sell the magnetized empty quad case so you could fill it up with your own shades, and it cost around $4.99. The quad case came with a very nice design more like a graphite, like those they paint on walls. Which you can see on the photo below.
Now onto the eyeshadows:
Ultra Violet: this is a matte dark Purple-y Violet color
Rainforest: this is a light shimmery green.
Vert-to-go: this is a medium dark shimmery green
Fantasy: this is a shimmery aqua-ish green. Very pretty!!
Lagoon: this is a matte Dark Navy blue.
Ebony: this is a matte black eyeshadow much like Carbon by Mac.
96 Snowflake: This is a matte White
So we come to an end to the eyeshadows, I do hope you have enjoyed the series. I did a look with this eyeshadows which is here. I really like this eyeshadows a lot and I really recommend them if you come across Annabelle products. Thanks for reading ... take care!!
Don't forget to check and follow me on Instagram @ canadianbeautyfinds thanks in advance!!!

Manicure Mondays: Revlon Edgy Elegance Collection 2011
Hi My Dear Readers:
Seriously the weather now a days gives a new meaning to the word "unpredictable". One day is super cold and the next day is 6C melting all the snow that deposited on us just last Friday which was 26cm, unexpected for Toronto region by the way. Now is just lakes everywhere which will be frozen by evening time because is going below zero ... Ughh lets move on instead :) Shall we??
Today I have two nail polish swatches from Revlon The Edgy Ellegance Collection from 2011. This collection came with 8 new shades, the ones that got my attention were Fierce and Downtown. I believe that the shades that Revlon came up with are quite unique.
Fierce: This is a foil Magenta-ish berry color
Downtown: this is a foil Aqua-ish blue
The formula was excellent it has good coverage even on the first coat but second coat is definitely needed. Also this doesn't stain your nails even without a base coat as I tried it out. Drying time is quite fast, it doesn't need top coat, but in order to last longer then is needed.
Hope you enjoyed this swatches from the Fall Collection of 2011. Thanks for stopping by ... Take care!!!

Annabelle Eyeshadow swatches & review Part 1
Hi my lovely readers:
Today is a horrible day! We are in the middle of a snow storm that is going to drop on us 20cm+. I can only imagine all the headache this is going to cost. I haven't seen a lot of snow in quite sometime maybe 4 years or so.
Anyways today i have swatches and review of Annabelle eyeshadows which are very nice to work with, they not only come in a palette but in singles too. They come into 2 forms just like MAC eyeshadows either on a pot or on a refillable pan. Annabelle does sell the refillable quad not in 15's.
The quality of the eyeshadows are very silky, affordable, blendable, vibrant colors, and not a lot of fallout. They can easily be confused by any MAC eyeshadows.
I have sixteen shades from neutrals to more daring colors. The price for the pots are $6.99 but they go on sale mostly at Shoppers Drugmart for $3.99. The refill pans they were sold for $4.99 but as low as $2.99 that's why I have so many of them haha.
As far as I stalk my local SDM they no longer sell the refills but my Walmart does at regular price. I'm not sure whether they are being discontinued or not. Annabelle does come out with new collections here and there. From the new collection I did buy just one eyeshadow which you will see shortly. Some of this eyeshadows are refills and some from pots that I've depotted them myself to fit into my eBay palette, which is a heck of a great convinience for me. So in this post I'll be doing all the neutral shades and I'll be reviewing the colorful shades soon.
1st row across: Gold Digger, Rainforest, 129 True Charcoal, 127 Brown Frost, Lagoon
2nd row across: 101 Bronze, Vert-To-Go, Ultra Violet, Suedine, 96 Snowflake
3rd row across: Metallic Meltdown, fantasy, Bronze Idol, Divine Diva, Ebony
Gold Digger: shimmery bronzey peach with an orangey undertone.
Metallic Meltdown: A shimmery Bronzey peach
*129 True Charcoal: picture below it looks like a bright silver but in real life is more like a shimmery dark grey.
*Suedine: Taupey brown. In real life is a bit lighter than in picture below.
127 Brown Frost: dark blackish brown.
Bronze Idol: Shimmery Bronze.
Divine Diva: cranberry bronze with a gold sheen, very beautiful shade!!
Goddess:
Some of the individual shades are not true to color, please refer to the picture with the palette which is the very first picture. Those shade will have (*) next to it.
If you haven't checked out my post using this eyeshadows on a FOTD click here. I will do part II for the remainder eyeshadows which include six of them, click here.
Until my next post ... Take care and thanks for stopping by :)

FOTD: Reflections of the Blue Moon
Hello my lovely readers:
Yay! Today was a very sunny day. I couldn't believe the sun was out after so many days being away from us, too bad it was very cold -10C.
Anyway, today I have another FOTD look. I wanted to go bold but I guess it turned out to be everyday wearable not too neutral but not in your face kind of look. I used all Annabelle eyeshadows.
For this look I used about 5 eyeshadows which is new to me. I usually go for 3: lid, crease and highlight.
Products used:
Eyes
1. Urban Decay Primer Potion
2. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool
3.Annabelle Eyeshadows:
- Suedine (inner corner)
- Divine Diva (mid eyelid)
- 127 Brown Frost (outer V and on the crease used as a transition)
- Lagoon (outer V and deepening the crease as well used on lower lash line)
- 96 Snowflake (highlighting browbone)
4. Maybelline Studio Gel Liner in Charcoal (upper and lower lash line)
5. L'oreal Million Lashes Mascara (1st coat)
6. Maybelline Falsies Flared Mascara (2nd coat)
7. Clinique bottom lashes.
FACE:
1. Mix Foundation of L'oreal Magic Soufflé in Tan and
2. Maybelline Fit Me! 220
3. Maybelline Mineral Power Blush in Gentle Pink
Hope you have liked this look I came up with till next post ... Take care!!
PS: Annabelle Eyeshadows review and swatches can be found here for neutrals and here for colorful eyeshadows.

Manicure Monday: Essie Metallic Blue Rhapsody
Hi my lovely reader,
Well today I have Essie Blue Rhapsody Mani, this polish is from the Mirrors Metallic 2012.
Blue Rhapsody is a sky blue and a bit of silver in it. Application was very smooth however it was very sheer on the first coat but second coat it was streaky which really is what you expect from a metallic polish. After top coat was applied the streakiness was less visible.
On the picture it looks very streaky but in person it was not that streaky at all, I was very please with it, so I went out and buy the whole collection so you'll see them in later post on "Manicure Mondays".
Mirrors Metallic has 5 Shades
1. Blue Rhapsody
2. Penny Talk
3. Nothing Else Metals
4. No Place Like Chrome
5. Good As Gold (Not Owned)
Till my next post ... Take care :)

Series* Don't Waste Your Money: E.L.F Eyeliner Pen
Finally the sun is out, I feel like the big umbrella was lifted for the sun to peak through. Although is very cold, but just 2 days ago was 13C now is below zero, -12C to be precise.
Today I came up with another series. I don't always like everything I buy. So don't waste your money is basically products that I hate or they don't work as they suppose to.
The brand ELF is an amazing brand most of their products are good and some are just okay and some are horrible. Today I'm reviewing ELF eyeliner pen and I want to start saying that I loved it so much that the next day I went back to Dollarama (Canadian dollar store) and bought another one and the price just $1.25. The applicator tip was very thin and the liquid liner was jet black it was very flawless and super easy to use, I even mastered my wing making. I used it the following day and then the third day. The following week I tried using it and it was dry ... I just couldn't believe I used it 3 times fell instantly in love with it and then slaps me in the face with its dryness. I tried positioning it upside down and nothing, as I originally stored laying it down. I know it's just $1.25 but still that's very expensive for just 3 uses. I don't even know if to use my backup I don't want to hit myself with the same rock twice.
Here is some pictures of the one who broke my makeup heart ...
The applicator tip is quite long and it was very easy to use. *sigh*
I hope this was in anyway useful if not I still appreciate that you came to my blog ... Till my next post, take care
