Manicure Monday: Essence Color & Go in "38 Choose Me!"

Hello there ladies:

So we are officially in the Seasons of Fall and the weather temperatures is letting us know that now a sweater to be worn is a must, but I've seen brave people to wear tank top and shorts in 10°C.

Essence is a brand that we all know to be very affordable, but with all that; we expect for their products to suck and when you find something it kind of good it just makes your day.

38 Choose Me!: is a greenish, teal aqua-ish foil

Wow! This color has become my third polish of all times is just so good that you have to stare at it and be amazed every second. The name "Choose Me!" Is just so fitting, really you have to get this polish is just so stuningly beautiful.

The color is so hard to describe at some point you might even think it has some sort of duochrome but it could be a foil finish as well. For picture above is a three coat manicure without top coat, overall it dried super fast that a top coat is not necessary as i didn't use it at all.

This is the older version of their polishes which was priced at $1.49, now with their new bottles I am not sure if the color is still available.

Thank you so much for reading please come back for more reviews, looks, etc. take care xoxox

Mani Monday China Glaze in "Sweet Hook"

Hello There Ladies:

Lets be real! On today's post you might cringe at my swatch picture, it just reminds me of when I first started wearing polish, which is being all over the place. I usually photograph my left hand as my nails always grow fast and I can paint it to perfection, however my index and pinky finger nails broke :( I just can't feature two nails that's just weird. On pic below is my right  hand with better nails but I just can't paint them nicely with my left hand so please excuse the look!!!

Sweet Hook: is a milky lavender pink

The formula was a tiny bit watery making my application to be messy as it was running everywhere. For this mani it took two coats, as the first one was patchy but second one evened out.

Again the formula could have been less watery and it took a bit of time to dry but the color was awesome so girly, very feminine, office appropriate.

China glaze can be found at Sally's beauty Supply, eBay, Nailpolishcanada.com or your local beauty salon.

I hope you have liked this post and excuse my nail appearance ... Thanks for reading, and don't forget to smile that's the best tool you have ;)

Manicure Monday: NYX Girls in 109 Sunday Afternoon

Hello There Ladies:

Happy Labor Day! I am sure most of you are out and about, me on the other hand i had to work, but it's okay I just pretend is not holiday just to make my life less sad hahaha!!

On today's post I'll be featuring a polish brand that I haven't used before which is NYX Girls, which belongs to NYX Cosmetics.
This polish is a nice neutral but not so neutral nor boring shade. I am really in love with this shade a lot that I wore for two weeks and I was impressed that it lasted that long on my nails.

Sunday Afternoon: is a foil, glittery pinkish silver.

The formula for this was sheer but it was build able, for photo above it took 3 coats. I was impressed by the way it driedas it dried in between coats.

The brush is a bit thin but it's a nice brush it gave me the ability to have more control of the placement and the way it spread the polish.

Since I was so in love It lasted two weeks with very minimal chipping, by the time it was time to remove it was a pain. This is mainly glitter base and the removing time took effort as any glittery mani would.

I hope you have liked this post and please keep coming back to read my post ... Take care and don't forget to always smile as that's the best tool you have ;) xoxo

Manicure Monday: Essie "Naughty Nautical" Summer 2013 Collection

Hey there beauties

I have yet another spectacular nail polish. It's Essie's Naughty Nautical! This was release for summer 2013. But let me just say after this post you will give the nail polish never ending love❤.

The application was a one coater but I did put a second coat just to be on the safe side. It does have some shimmer which is  mostly visible on the bottle, but it was quite hidden on the nail. But then again it gives the polish a very good depth and makes it shine on its own.

This formula was absolutely spectacular, Nowadays is hard to find one coater nail polishes. Drying time was excellent. Essie made it again by launching a very solid collection that keeps the nail polish lovers buying their products.
Unfortunately to me this was the only shade in the whole collection that stood out, as the other ones look identical to something else, nevertheless I love this shade and formula.

Thank you for reading this spectacular post and I hope you read my next post! Thank you all once again for reading and take care! Xoxo

Ps. Co-written with my cousin Veronica :)

Mani Monday: Revlon "Royal Cloak" Masquerade Collection 2011

Hello pretty people in the world:

I have a fabulous nail polish that will make your nails love you even more! It's Revlon Royal Cloak! Does it sound familiar? Revlon Royal Cloak belongs to the Masquerade collection. Revlon Fierce is another nail polish of the collection and you can see the post here.

Royal Cloak:

The formula was a bit watery a bit more than I normally like it but in the picture it took two coats. the Application was a bit patchy so a third coat was needed. The polish itself has white particles but less dense than shimmer which is a bit noticeable on the nail. The brush is a bit thin and it dries semi matte so if you want a shiny result, a top coat is needed.

Overall I truly like how it's a dark grape color but I don't like how it dries matte. I usually like shiny nails so it looks as it s glowing from within.

I hope you enjoy reading this fabulous post on this fabulous nail polish monday and keep being creative ... Thanks for reading and take care xoxo

Ps.It was written In collab with my awesome Cousin Veronica ;)

Manicure Monday: Wet n Wild Megalast "I Need A Refresh-Mint"

Hello There ladies:

Another Monday has come and I have another manicure with yet another polish from wet n wild.

I love this line Megalast salon Nail color, the brush is fantastic as it is wide and covers your whole nail beautifully making you not to overload your nail around the edges and cuticles. The shades are fantastic and another polish that caught my attention. I just wish more nail polish companies make this kinds of brushes.

I Need a Refresh-Mint: minty green, turquoise

In the picture below you can see how this new line has change their bottle and also embossed their brand name into the bottle, making it look a bit more of a higher brand look. Essie does the same embossing idea.

This is what the back of the bottle looks like including the name of the polish.

Application: it took two thin coats to reach full opacity, although it could've been enough with one but two is ideal. The formula was a dream, very easy to work with.Again, the brush is beautifully designed and it covers your nail with just one swipe .

Wet n Wild is found at Walmart and this polish line in particular is for $2.99. They have a good range of shades.

The wearability of this polish is not the longest it took about 5 days for it to start chipping but then again is a lot better than their Color Shine line as it only lasted me 2 days max.

I hope you have liked this post with a couple pictures more than usual. Thanks for reading and take care ... Don't forget to follow me on Instagram canadianbeautyfinds and twitter cndbeautyfinds

Monday Manicure: Zoya "Roxy"

Hello There Ladies:

Another Monday is here and many of you might think is dreadful but what about putting a good face or hand to face the week.

Zoya, is not really available here in Canada unless you go to Trade secrets which is at major malls or Sally beauty supply which are only two locations in my area.

Roxy: has magenta glitter in a magenta base.

Application on a first coat was patchy but second coat was very opaque. This polish is a sister of Apple from Zoya as well.

The formula was good but taking the polish off was a pain as it was mostly glitter. The color was very admirable and got a few compliments but I dislike any polish with glitter.

I hope you have liked this little post and maybe follow me on twitter at cndbeautyfinds or on Instagram at canadianbeautyfinds ... Thanks for reading and take care xoxo

Mani Monday : Essie "Lilacism"

Hello There Ladies:

Today I have a manicure that I'm excited to share. I like every color I dont make any exception unless,I know is not going to look good with my skin tone but due to the fact that I have an olive complexion most if the colors compliment me.

Todays nail polish is Originally from the Art of spring collection of 2010. However is has been added to their regular line so it is easily available either at your local nail salon or Walmart or any drugstore.

Lilacism: light beige purple creme.

The formula was a bit watery but it wasn't  troublesome, it took two coats to reach full opacity.

Now, I love this color it has become one of my favorites, I'm absolutely in love and is my third favorite. The first one is Orly in Sweet Peacock and second is Zoya Apple.

Maybe at the end of the year I should do a top 10 favorite nail polish what do you think???

Anyways I hope you have liked this post and please dont forget to follow me on instagram under canadianbeautyfinds oh, and thanks for reading take care xoxoxo

Manicure Monday: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in 230 "Blue Frosting"

Hello there ladies

Omg 2 weeks without blogging is quite sometime, don't think that I have forgotten you is just that life has been a bit busy and been working longer hours than usual and that takes a toll on your body and mind.

Today I bring you this great nail polish shade I think is one of the good looking ones I've worn in a while, don't get me wrong; I do like all the colors I've worn but this one is very pretty.

Blue Frosting: is a blur metallic and somewhat duochromy purple side.

I am in love with this color with that being said I hate the formula. For picture above it took 6 coats, Yes! 6 coats ugh. The formula is super sheer and you get a somewhat decent color payoff in 4 coats but still not achieving the results you expect so you need an extra 2 coats.

This has a purple duo chrome that you can see in some weird angles in your nail, but in the bottle is more permanent.

Where can you find this? Well, I bough it at Dollarama for $2 along with another polishes of the same formula. I haven't seen this elsewhere but I imagine they were once available everywhere.

I hope you have liked this post and I hope I can blog more frequently ... In the meantime please do leave me a comment I will appreciate it if you do. Thanks for reading and take care!!!

Mani Monday: China Glaze "Peachy Keen"

Hello There Ladies:

What a rainy day, I wish it could be a bit more sunny but Tuesday it is.

China glaze is a cool brand with lots of colors to choose from. This brand is not the best for me as it chips quite quickly which is very unexpected since compared to other drugstore brand is on the pricier side.

Peachy Keen: is a true peach with a creme finish.

When I see this color if reminds me of carrot juice with a lot of milk yum! I truly love this color is so good looking and yummy! I got a few compliments and they all express same sentiments of being a unique shade.

The formula on this was average and nothing to complains about, as the application was flawless. For picture above I used two thin coats to reach full opacity.

China glaze is available at Sally Beauty Supply or you can order online at www.nailpolishcanada.com which are sold for $6.95.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have liked this post ... Take care xoxoxo

Mani Monday: OPI "If You Moust You Moust" From Minnie Mouse Collection

Hello There Ladies:

Happy Canada Day!!! Today is our 146th birthday for this amazing countey and i fe el so very proud!!

I want to start by saying that this is not the most unique color but it is very pretty and why not elegant looking color that makes your hand very girly but polished haha.

This polish was launched for the 'Vintage Minnie Mouse' collection in which they launched 3 shades and a glittery top coat. Out of the 3 polishes the most interesting was this one.

If You Moust You Moust: is a bright pink creme.

I had no application issues with this, although it was a bit watery but workable. For picture above it took 3 coats for opacity added China Glaze Fast Fordward top coat.

This was a limited edition shade that came out back in May of 2012 in different nail salons for $9.99. However, it might be available but if not they might just relaunch it in some other collection if not you might just find a closer shade in another brand.

I hope you liked this mini review ... Thanks for reading and please follow on Instagram under same name! xoxoxo

Mani Monday: Essence Color & Go in High Spirits

Hello There Ladies:

Finally hot weather is here and is scorching hot, we have a heat wave going and I like it!

Today's polish is a nice color is just a toned down color more like your neutral winter shade.

High Spirits: is an olive green with a noticeable  and somewhat hidden shimmer haha!

I like this color is quite neutral that blended with my skin color.

Application: photo above has two coats with top coat. The formula was a bit thick but manageable, it dried relatively fast in between coats which impress me a lot which leaves up to its name of Colour & Go Quick Drying nail polish, buts that's about it because it lasted 4 days on me than it chipped completely.

I have a love/hate relationships with polish like that because it gives me the chance to change my manicure but also I don't like it because I have to do it again and I don't have a chance to do so!

Bottom line I recommend this brand/line if you change your manicure ever so often if not go for other brand.

Essence is sold at participating Shoppers Drug Mart. This is an old bottle that was sold for $1.49 but now they re-designed their bottles and change price for only $1.99 (which is still a bargain)

Anyways thanks for reading and take care xoxoxo

Mani Monday: Maybelline Color Show 190 Coral Crush

Hello There Ladies:

Today i have the second swatch of this brand Maybelline Color Show nail polish the first one can be found here.

As in my previous review if you read it you can see that I wasn't too impressed with the formula but the color was very nice.

Coral Crush: is a coral-ly pink, actually leaning more like pink than coral.

In person the color is bit like a darker pink, I like the color although it looks a bit common and for a gal like me common = boring, however is not a bad shade to wear if you are not picky like me, I like colors that are unique.

The formula was pretty good I was impressed this time with the brand as they have stepped up their game. I would keep on buying polishes from this brand.

The price is just something to consider but in this case $2.96 is a great pricing for this little gems. I bought this at Walmart and Shoppers Drugmart for $3.99 as they always carry the latest polishes collection.

I hope you have liked this review/swatches and come back to read more ... Please subscribe xoxox

Manicure Monday: Zoya 'Apple'

Hello there ladies:

Ok, so here it is, I really apologized for the lack of posts I've been doing is just time hasn't been on my hands. Time is really flying out if my hands and things are coming into my life that has given me no choice but to blog any day I can.

Today I have this gorgeous and amazing polish. I really love this polish that I got a few compliments for it. Also has a story and how it became the most expensive polish I've own. If you want to know the story please keep reading.

Apple: is a bright green with a golden shimmer. It looks a bit duochrome but is just the shimmer giving it a different dimension to the color.

Application: the first coat was very sheer so it took 3 coats to make it look opaque. I top coat it with China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

Onto my story: so I always wanted to own a Zoya polish, but I've never found a place of sale and eBay are very expensive up to $20 per bottle plus shipping, which is a bit ridiculous since is not a very expensive brand.

So one day walking around the mall I found TradeSecrets and they sell polishes like: OPI, Misa, Essie, and Zoya.

So the only bottle I found amazingly good was Apple so I bought it for $8.60 (plus tax) on my way out I took it out of the bag fell on the floor and BAM! It broke :'( I literally cried on the inside I was so bombed. I went back to the store and I asked for a replacement they said they couldn't because when I left the store it was in good condition. I took a deep breath and I started walking away when the lady said, I can see you really liked that polish so what I can do is i can give you another one for 50% off I smiled took my wallet out and paid for it :)

All in all I was very happy with my purchased and the fact the I found a place where they sell Zoya polishes. I really like the brand and I went back to the store and bought 3 more. Again you can find Zoya at TradeSecrets or check your local mall or www.tradesecrets.ca for store locations.

Thanks for reading and don't forget to subscribe take care xoxo.

Manicure Monday : Kleancolor Nail Laquer in 22 Barbie Pink

Hello There My Lovelies!

In my nail polish experience I've come across some hot pink nail polishes that has caught my attention and been my all time Favourite but this one has topped off any of this other polishes.

22 Barbie Pink: hot pink.

Application: for picture above it took 2 coats, first coat covered the nail enough but it needed the second coat to full get opacity. Formula was just a tiny bit gloppy, it also dried semi-matte or dull looking so a shiny top coat is a must.

Just an overall observation I've discovered that most of Kleancolor nail polishes do dry a bit dull but I certainly don't mind since I use top coat anyways.

I also want to warn about the sloppy application I did, no wonder because it was 2 a.m and I wanted to go to sleepy with nails polished ;)

I hope you like me on Facebook or follow me on Instagram both at Canadianbeautyfinds ... Take care xoxo

Manicure Monday: Nubar Stardust

Hi there my lovelies:

Today I have this Nubar nail polish. I think that Nubar makes the best duo chrome nail polishes. I really love duo or multi chrome nail polishes is just looks like you have different nail polishes at once depending on how you move your hand your polish shifts.

I previously did another polish by Nubar which was multi chrome which can be found here for more info.

Stardust: is a duo chrome nail polish which has a strong light orange base which shifts into pink.

The application is a trouble free application it was sheer at first but second coat made it happen. Since Nubar is not found at any retailers I have to buy them on eBay from a trusted seller. Altogether costs about $8 shipping including. If eBay doesn't ring your bell you can go to nailpolishcanada.com, I never bought from there but soon I will.

So I hoped you liked this post I hope you visit my Instagram or like me on Facebook both at canadianbeautyfinds ... Take care xoxo

Manicure Monday: Quo by Orly in Night Sky

Hello there my lovelies:

Today I have another post of Mani Mondays. I have an American Canadian nail polish brand. As you may (or not) know Orly teamed up with Quo to come up with a line of nail polishes back in 2011. I never bought any of these polishes just because they are a bit overpriced sold for $10 (although Essie, OPI are around same price and I still buy them, I don't know why I think Quo by Orly is overprice since Orly is around same price too. )
Anyways i decided to grab this beauty for $4.99 as it was yellow ticketed as Reduced. I couldn't pass up the opportunity and decided to get it.

Night Sky: Dark purple with purple and violet shimmer.

For photo above I did two coats of Night Sky as well i added top coat. The first coat was very patchy but second coat evened it out completely. Drying time was very quick, it was a trouble free application. I also noticed that in the bottle looks a bit duo chrome-ish with green flashes . The green flash is not translated onto the nail is just mostly dark purple base with violet shimmer. This is a very stunning shade I really enjoyed it.

Do you own any polishes from this brand, if so what colors do you recommend?

Thanks for reading and don't forget to like me on Facebook or follow me on Instagram @ Canadianbeautyfinds ... Take care xoxo

Manicure Monday: Essence Color & Go 116 Gorgeous Bling Bling

Today I have this gorgeous nail polish color that is so unique and is by essence. I noticed as well that they changed their bottle design and made a little bigger and a bit fancier. The cap also reflects the polish inside very well, and I'm also loving the brush is wider, making application easier and have more control to maneuver.

116 Gorgeous Bling Bling: is a burnt orange with noticeable gold flecks.

The formula was good making it easy to apply and only needed two coats and it lasted throughout the whole week, of course it was top coated with Seche Vite Top Coat.

Essence is only sold at selected Shoppers Drugmart because I've been to a few of the stores and I've only seen them in a couple so you have to check around your area to see which store carries Essence cosmetics. This brand is very affordable and is gained so much popularity for how good they're products are at such a cheap cost.

The nail polishes are sold at $1.99 each but just before the bottle change they were sold at $1.49. I really don't mind paying the difference.

So what do you guys think of the brand Essence? How many of their polishes do you own?

Until my next post, take care and don't forget to follow me on Instagram for the latest nail polishes or like me on Facebook @ canadianbeautyfinds ... Thanks in advance!!!

Manicure Monday: Sally Hansen 10 days No Chip Bodoir

Hello there my lovelies:

Well today I have Sally Hansen nail polish I usually buy the Xtreme, Hard As Nails, Insta-Dri line. This is the 10 days nail No Chip polish. I haven't seen this line anywhere I don't know whether its been recently discontinued or has been for some time.

This beauty was found at a Chinese mall and there was this store that was selling all kinds of nail polishes most of them Sally Hansen for $1.99 or 5 for $5.

Bodoir: This is a hard one to describe. Green mustard with multi colored micro glitter, but you can mainly see pink, green, yellow finely milled glitter. I hope I described it even remotely close.

It advertises that it could last up to 10 days but I don't know since I added a top coat and I removed it on the 7th day. The application was very smooth except that it bubbled. I'm not sure whether it was because I was rushing my application or it was the formula. Photo above took 2 coats. First coat was sheer but second coat reached full opacity.

I wish I could come across this line again, maybe there are some other good unique colors, like this one because its pretty damn unique haha.

So do you know anything about this line? Have you come across this color, if so do you like it?

Thanks for reading and don't to forget to check out and follow me on Instagram for my latest manicure or Facebook for latest update post @canadianbeautyfinds ... Take care and thanks in advance!!!
