Mani Monday: Deborah Lippmann in 'Brick House'

Hello There Ladies:

So here I am with short nails. I really hate short nails but I've always have to deal with having them short my whole life. My nails began to grow until I became pregnant and all of a sudden my nails are long, people thought I was wearing fake nails but I've never been into them at all. Once I gave birth I thought my nails would never grow but they did! I seriously have no idea what I was doing wrong before.

Brick House: is a burnt orange

The application on this one was flawless and it took two layers to reach opacity. I've used all brands of nail polish but this one felt smooth and dried pretty fast. I am happy to have bought this polish.

Deborah Lippmann is an expensive brand but i was lucky to grab it when nailpolishcanada.com was getting rid of their stock since they were no longer going to carry the brand. I was able to grab the duo polish for only $13, obviously that promotion was gone in a matter of minutes as it was a great steal. Normally this polishes on its own are retailed for $18.

Thanks for reading this post and I hope you stay happy and and enjoy the beauty of life. Take care xoxo

The Balm Shady Lady Vol. 3 Swatches & Review

Hello there beautiful ladies:

Shady Lady the name always gets me, I just think of something shady under the table kind of thing.

Sometime ago I reviewed my other palette Shady Lady Vol. 2, this one is Vol. 3.

Rexall was having a BOGO sale so I bought this two. I just think that the quality is superb and magnificent not to mention the pigmentation of the eyeshadows.

The packaging is very sturdy and travel friendly and has 9 different colors where you can match them however you want and come up with a nice makeup look. The pattern on this palette is nice and colorful. This also has the ingredients listed on the back cover as well as the eyeshadow colors ... Very smart thing by the balm ;)

Now as I mention it has 9 shadows from light to medium and dark, just a mix of everything.

Lusty Lee - is a silvery gray

Envious Erin - creamy white

Racy Kacy - copper brown

Safe Bet Annette - is a pastel pink

Runaround Rebecca - is a olive green with a khaki base

Come-hither Heather - is a mauvey taupe

Open To Offers Olwen - is a rich blue with a touch of teal

All The Way Annie - purple reddish with silver flecks

Guilty Gwen - is a charcoal black with silver glitter

I am really happy to have found this two palettes on sale I am just over the top happy to own this palettes and to have gotten it for a discounted price.

I really recommend this palette and just the whole line from the Balm cosmetics they just have such great products and palettes including their Nude'tude palette, and the Bon Jovi Rockstar palette. Thanks for reading and take care please don't forget to always smile that's the best tool you have ;) xoxo

Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara Review

Hello There Ladies:

Wow! I can't believe is the month of September already, I mean where did August go? I can't believe 31 days have already gone by.

Today I will review this awesome mascara. So far I have reviewed two other mascara that I have liked, which are the Maybelline XXL Mascara and L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes.

For me and makeup in general, and I know you might agree Mascara is the product that at least every girl uses.
Mascara is really easy to pull off as it accentuates your lashes. Also Mascara preferences changes depending on the girl who uses it, some girls like volume, thick lashes, long lashes, very black lashes or all of the above.

I think Maybelline best seller in terms of Mascara has been 'the Falsies' just because it elongates your lashes and thickens them as well.

The packaging is a nice classic tube in the color pink berry with metallic silver bluish-teal lettering.

Now lets talk about the wand. The wand is very cool as it has two sides to it. One side is curve but flat more like a spoon which you can use to coat your lashes at once, when turned the curve can help to make your lashes longer.

Also the wand can be bent to give more flexibility so when used you can wiggle the brush and work with you easily.

I seriously have the worst lashes in the world as they are straight, thin and I can't use washable mascara as it doesn't hold the curl so waterproof it is!

This is sold at any drugstore where Maybelline is sold I got it for $4.99 on sale but its retailed at $6.99 so be on the lookout for those sales as they make you save a bit

This is my holy grail mascara is just so good, makes my lashes very long and thickens them a lot. I hope you have liked this post with this amazing mascara.

So Have you given this mascara a try? If so what what are your thoughts??

FOTD: One Shadow Look Feat L'oreal Infallible in 037 Metallic Lilac

Hello There Beauties:

For long time now, I wanted to do a review on all of my L'oreal Infallible eyeshadows. This eyeshadow pots has become very popular since they are a dupe or has similarities to The Armani Eyes to Kill which are very expensive, of course I don't own any so I wouldn't know if they are dupes or comparable.

I own so many that if I do a post it will be incredibly long. I was watching videos on YouTube and I came to EmilyNoel83 which is an awesome favorite YouTuber of mine. She was talking about one shadow looks, meaning that it gives different depth but you only use one shadow for your whole look.

In this look I used the 037 Metallic Lilac which was release on the Cannes Film Festival 2012, this is a purple grey with flecks of purple shade in the pan which gives that lilac purple-y tinge to the look. Which you can see here

This shade gives different dimension depending on the lighting and the angle. I really love it I am so happy I can pull a look with very little effort. Anyone can do this being an expert, halfway with knowledge or no idea of what the heck you are doing.

EYES:

1. Rimmel Undercover Eye Primer

2. L'oreal Infallible in 037 Metallic lilac

-- applied all over the lid packing the color couple of times to make it more intense.

-- took a fluffy brush swiping some product and buffing the color right into the crease

3. Urban Decay Liquid Liner 24/7 in Perversion (used to line upper line)
4. Maybelline the Falsies in Flared
5. Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow/Liner in Taupe.

I hope you have liked this post as it is a bit different putting two posts into one. Please let me know if is something that you want me to keep doing. Thanks again and don't forget to smile as it is the best tool you have xoxo

Maybelline EyeStudio Quad in 90 Irresistibly Ivy Swatches & Review

Hello There Beauties:

There is no doubt saying that I love Maybelline, they are ne of those companies that work so hard to maintain in their own pedestal. As you may know I love this little quads they are so versatile and the colors are to die for.

This is my second palette from them that I own, don't get me wrong I have 5 more quads in my makeup stash waiting there to be reviewed ;). The other palette that I reviewed was a LE quad called Green With Fashion which is a very nice quad with green shadows and such, as always I did a post here on how to wear the quad in your eyes.

This palette is not limited edition, is their permanent line which is good news if you want to get it. The shades on this palette are buttery smooth and really good color payoff on each shadow.

1. Is a Shimmery Champagne Beige
2. Is a Shimmery bronzey copper
3. Is a Shimmery greenish Teal
4. Is a shimmery Red, bronzey copper

By the swatches above you can see that the second shade looks a bit duochromy like a metallic yellowy orange on the second shot. This shades are so beautiful that you wouldn't believe they are drugstore. The downside is that they are powdery but with a swipe and doing your foundation last, you wouldn't even notice or bother you that there is fallout.

The packaging on these quads are quite flimsy with the couchy lid that sometimes doesn't shut properly. The backside gives you an idea on how to wear the colors on your eyes, along with the ingredients.

I am incredibly impress and happy that I own this quad. You can find these where Maybelline is sold for $8.99 but on sale you can grab it for $6.99 (if you are lucky, like I was)

I hope you have liked this post and please come back for more ... Take care and stay beautiful, don't forget to smile as that's the best tool you have xoxo

The Balm Nude'tude Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hello There Ladies:

Nowadays going nude or using toned down shades is the trend. Every cosmetic company has their own nude palette which is basically colors that are easy to wear but still giving you the ultimate weapon to look glamorous.

The Balm cosmetics is no exceptions and launched their own version of the Nude palette called Nude'tude. As you may know that Urban Decay was the one who started it all with their Naked Palette. not launching only one but two Naked palettes plus the Naked Basics Palette.

The Nude'tude palette contains 12 shades just as the UD Naked palettes. The Nude'tude is a bit unique for the reason that has a lot more daring colors that are easily to wear.

The first 6 shades are more wearable but the second six is more daring as for that sexy redish burgundy called Sexy or even that glittery dark plum called Silly.

I think that the Balm did a great job in the  packaging department as they did this sturdy and sleek and travel friendly palette, where you can take anywhere and not worried that your eyeshadows will get crush or damage.

Ok back to the shadows shall we?! As mentioned it has 12 eyeshadows to the advantage that each shadow has its name.

On the first row:

Sassy: is a frosted white
Stubborn: is a light medium peach
Selfish: is a frosted taupe mushrommy
Sophisticated: is a dark brown with bronze shimmer
Sexy: is a matte redish burgundy
Serious: is a matte medium dark black

On the second row:

Snobbyis a gold shimmery dark yellow
Stand-offish: is a bronze shimmery brown
Sultry: is a medium satiny brown
Schtitzo: is a goldeny bronzey brown
Silly: is a reddish brown with flecks of coppery sparkle.
Sleek: is a matte darkish black brown

This palette originally was introduced to the market back in 2011 but this is a palette that is going to be timeless because it has shades that are so universally flattering to any skin tone. This is sold at Sephora, at the balm cosmetics website, Nail Polish Canada, Rexall etc.

I personally bought it at Rexall for $36, Rexall carries the Balm cosmetics line.

Overall I am so very happy with my purchase, I had this palette for a while and I've been playing with it for quite sometime. You can recreate looks on so many levels from light to medium to dark, very easy to blend and amazing color payoff and are buttery smooth on most if not all shades.

I hope you have liked this post and made it through, take care and be creative!!!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Swatches & Review

Hello There Ladies:

Pigments are eyeshadows in a loose powder form. Maybelline has got in line in creating pigments. If not mistaken MAC has been the leading company of creating this kinds of products. Aside from MAC, L'oreal created the H.I.P pigments and later they withdrew them from the market. I per say picked a few pigments from L'oreal. NYX also has pigments.

Maybelline launched 10 shades from neutral to bold colors. At first i was intrigued by this and I was tempted to buy them but the price was a bit much.

One day I walked to a Shoppers Drugmart at a downtown location and found them on clearance for $2.99 why? I have no idea but I picked the few colors that was left over. I don't understand why would they be on sale when is a brand new product. Needless to say I was so happy because I was able to get my hands on these when elsewhere are pretty darn expensive.

The colors I picked up are 20 Pink Rebel, 15 Potent Purple and 10 Brash Blue.

20 Pink Rebel:

15 Potent Purple:

10 Brash Blue:

Let's talk about packaging: it comes in a container made our plastic and there is a sifter to prevent spillage but its hard to get the product out.

I think that these pigments are very good and that even though they are drugstore they are really good which I am impressed but so were the L'oreal hip pigments.

So far I have used Pink Rebel and is a nice pink color I have made a look with but you have to wait for it. In any case I will link it here.

I hope you have liked this post and made you decide to at least give it a try as it is worth trying.

These pigments are sold at any drugstore for $7.99 up to $9.99 they came up with 12 shades so we will see if I decide to pick any up.

Thanks for reading and take care ... Xoxoxo

Monday Manicure: Zoya "Roxy"

Hello There Ladies:

Another Monday is here and many of you might think is dreadful but what about putting a good face or hand to face the week.

Zoya, is not really available here in Canada unless you go to Trade secrets which is at major malls or Sally beauty supply which are only two locations in my area.

Roxy: has magenta glitter in a magenta base.

Application on a first coat was patchy but second coat was very opaque. This polish is a sister of Apple from Zoya as well.

The formula was good but taking the polish off was a pain as it was mostly glitter. The color was very admirable and got a few compliments but I dislike any polish with glitter.

I hope you have liked this little post and maybe follow me on twitter at cndbeautyfinds or on Instagram at canadianbeautyfinds ... Thanks for reading and take care xoxo

Mani Monday : Essie "Lilacism"

Hello There Ladies:

Today I have a manicure that I'm excited to share. I like every color I dont make any exception unless,I know is not going to look good with my skin tone but due to the fact that I have an olive complexion most if the colors compliment me.

Todays nail polish is Originally from the Art of spring collection of 2010. However is has been added to their regular line so it is easily available either at your local nail salon or Walmart or any drugstore.

Lilacism: light beige purple creme.

The formula was a bit watery but it wasn't  troublesome, it took two coats to reach full opacity.

Now, I love this color it has become one of my favorites, I'm absolutely in love and is my third favorite. The first one is Orly in Sweet Peacock and second is Zoya Apple.

Maybe at the end of the year I should do a top 10 favorite nail polish what do you think???

Anyways I hope you have liked this post and please dont forget to follow me on instagram under canadianbeautyfinds oh, and thanks for reading take care xoxoxo

Profound 24 Matte Eyeshadows Palette 1 Swatches & Review

Hello There Ladies:

For a long time I wanted to do a review on this palette. This palette has 24 matte eyeshadow, really where do you see a palette with that Many matte eyeshadows in one? Very rare.

Profound was nice enough to make this palette at a very low cost and good quality shadows. Due to this rarity you might be able to find it but if not just enjoyed this post ;)

The packaging is not the best but it isn't the worst either is not like it has broken already. There is a mirror inside with two dual ended sponge tip applicators (again useless in my opinion) but the mirror leaves a lot to be desired as it fell off already, I guess it could be fixable with a good sticky glue. I like the fact that al though is closed you can still see the eyeshadows peeking through little windows above each shadow, like seen in the picture below.

The eyeshadows has a potential for fallout, so when you apply this shadows it has to be in a padding motion rather than sweeping. The pigmentation is rather surprisingly good just because I expected that the pigmentation was going to be a little less pigmented and hard to blend but is not the issue.

These eyeshadows are so easy to blend and very bright. The only thing is that the colors in this palette is rather all over the place I mean you can't really guess if is about the purples or blues, oranges or plums. This palette has a little bit of everything.

Here are a bunch of random swatches I didn't want to do 24 swatches as that would be a heck of a lot of pictures so it didnt end up to be picture heavy post.

In the picture above I did 12 swatches of the brightest eyeshadows in the palette or the ones the caught my attention the most. One is indoors and the second one outdoors.

The price for this palette was $2.99 and I found it at my local makeup warehouse. Yay lucky me!! To my surprise there are two other palettes with different shades and matte! Of course i'll be doing a review on those as well.

I hope you have liked this review and gone through this long post ... Thanks for reading and take care xoxo

Maybelline EyeStudio Quad in 810 Green With Fashion Swatches & Review

Hello There Ladies

Today I'm very excited toying with this new quad palette. Maybelline has come up with makeup that is worth picking up and this quad was no exception.

I love this Eyestudio line products in general from eyeshadows to gel liners and even their lipsticks.

In this post I'll be talking about the limited edition quad called 810 Green with Fashion not to be confused with another quad named Green with Envy which I'll do a review soon with it.

This quad is all about the greens and the neutral shades like the first two.  This quad comes with the ever forgetful useless sponge tip applicators that every company waste their time on adding. Seriously I think that barely anybody uses this sponges anymore.

On the picture below you can see the back cover with more information about the product along with the ingredients that are listed as well.

The packaging on this quad and in general is sturdy and very compact, which makes it easier to travel with if necessary. The slot of each eyeshadow pot is big enough for any brush to fit, as it is not too small but just the perfect size.

The pigmentation of these eyeshadow are impeccable and really worth getting it, as it is opaque enough to cover with just a single swipe, not to mention of how easy it is to blend.

1. Is a light beige very good for blending
2. Is a light shimmery golden looks a bit metallic.
3. Is a shimmery turquoise green
4. Is a blackened green with golden green shimmer

Since this is a limited edition quad I don't think it can be found any longer but if you do, you are definately lucky! This quad came out with the Maybelline’s “Scene on the Runway” Collection in which was released for the Fall collection from 2011.

I hope you have liked this post and thanks so very much for reading ... Take care xoxo

Marcelle Liquid Eyeliner Pen Swatches & Review

Hello there ladies:

Today I have a review on these pens which are from the brand of Marcelle. I wanted to do a post for a while but I only owned one but I happened to really liked it, so I bought another and it was on sale.

First I want to start off by saying that Marcelle is a Canadian brand, big sister of Annabelle Cosmetics. These guys really know how to please their customers with these products; and to say that this eyeliners are quite good and I enjoy using them. Also, I want to mention that I recently made a post regarding their recently launch of their Spring Palette 2012 which I made a review here

In this line comes in 4 shades: brown, black, Olive and Teal. I own just 2 the teal and the olive shade, which you can see in the following pictures. If you are a follower of my blog, you might or not know that I'm a big fan of eyeliners that comes in different colors other than your typical black and brown.

So what does Marcelle Eyeliner pens promises:
• A glamorous look in high-definition.
• With its high precision applicator featuring an ultra-fine felt-tip, this eyeliner becomes the ideal tool to get a glamorous look.
• This eyeliner is specially designed for a long lasting, flawless, easy and controlled application.
• Hypo-allergenic. Paraben free.

In the picture above you can see the tip which is like a marker look to it, I think that this makes the application a bit harder, specially to those who are not yet comfortable trying to use this kinds of applicators, if they are trying to achieve the ever hard to master wing liner.
The pigmentation in this pens are top quality and makes anyone happy to use them, as they are highly pigmented with just one swipe. In the picture below you can see swatches of both pens.

The availabity of these pens are everywhere and sold at any drugstore. The prices may vary from store to store. The Teal shade I found it on sale for $4.99 at Rexall couple weeks ago. Also if your abroad you can check out their website which is www.Marcelle.com.
I hope you have liked this mini review and thanks for reading ... Take care xoxo.

Mani Monday: OPI "If You Moust You Moust" From Minnie Mouse Collection

Hello There Ladies:

Happy Canada Day!!! Today is our 146th birthday for this amazing countey and i fe el so very proud!!

I want to start by saying that this is not the most unique color but it is very pretty and why not elegant looking color that makes your hand very girly but polished haha.

This polish was launched for the 'Vintage Minnie Mouse' collection in which they launched 3 shades and a glittery top coat. Out of the 3 polishes the most interesting was this one.

If You Moust You Moust: is a bright pink creme.

I had no application issues with this, although it was a bit watery but workable. For picture above it took 3 coats for opacity added China Glaze Fast Fordward top coat.

This was a limited edition shade that came out back in May of 2012 in different nail salons for $9.99. However, it might be available but if not they might just relaunch it in some other collection if not you might just find a closer shade in another brand.

I hope you liked this mini review ... Thanks for reading and please follow on Instagram under same name! xoxoxo

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream 8 in 1 Review

Hello There Ladies:

Today I wanted to do a review on this BB Cream by Maybelline.

Before I start I want to apologize for the look of the bottle in the picture below for looking quite unpleasant.

I was a bit on the question mark side just because I didn't know whether to put it in my series of 'I would love to hate it' or just a plain review.

This is more of a tinted moisturizer than a BB Cream just because it has sort of same texture with just a bit more of coverage. It comes in 3 shades Light, Medium and Deep, my shade is in Medium and has 30 ML, it had lasted me for at least 6 months. This means that is quiet a long lasting product.

At first I regreted buying this product for the simple fact that the coverage was very minimal, needless to say I was having some issues of acne and my face was quite covered with pimples.

Now that my face has cleared and improved a hell of a lot, this is quite good and I'm really feeling it. I also like the fact that is SPF 30 when most of the time I don't remember putting sun protection.

So what does Maybelline BB Cream claims to be:

Now, let me tell you what is really living up to. I don't know whether it prevents sunburn or not but with the SPF it might work.

This does cover minimal scarring and it looks quite smooth but it tends to look a bit oily so a setting powder is a must.

This is lightweight as you can barely feel it but it doesn't feel fresh as it is somewhat a foundation.

So here comes the end of my post and just a quick review. Overall I'm quite on the fence about it just because it looks oily, but it's workable just because you can use a setting powder.

This is available at any mass retailers, any drugstore where Maybelline is sold, price is around $8.99.

Anyways thanks for reading take care ... Check out my Instagram under same name!

Wet N Wild 8 Pan Palette : 738 Comfort Zone Review & Swatches

Hello There my Lovelies:

Today I have a review of my all time and most used palette from Wet N Wild 8 pan palette which is the Comfort Zone. I'm sure there must be a bazillions reviews but I want to do my own.

This palette is so versatile and you can do endless looks from neutral to smokey wearable looks very appropriate for office. I have done a few looks using this palette which can be found here here.

This palette has 8 eyeshadows 4 on each column. This palette is a shimmery palette and some has glitter on them which is not transferable onto your eye but my swatches they decided to show up. For this palette I would have wish to have matte shades at least the browbone shades but that's no problem at all, I like the palette anyways :)

LEFT COLUMN:

- Browbone: is a champagney cream. This is a M.A.C dupe to 'Ricepaper'.

- Eyelid: is a peachy bronze. This is an 'All That Glitters' dupe by M.A.C.

- Crease: is a medium bronzey brown

- Definer: is a deep plummy brown with purple shimmer. This is a dupe for MAC 'Beauty Marked'

Swatches from Left to Right - Browbone, Eyelid, Crease, Definer.

RIGHT COLUMN:

- Browbone: this is a nice Taupey color.

- Eyelid: this is a light yellowish green. This is a MAC dupe for 'Sumptous Olive'

- Crease: is a shimmery blackish green

- Definer: this is a awesomely duochrome eyeshadow shifts from bluish teal to brown plummy shade. This is a dupe for MAC 'Club'

Swatches from Left to Right: Browbone, Eyelid, Crease, Definer.

I seriously love this palette as you could tell this has about 5 eyeshadows that are dupe for MAC eyeshadows which is rare to find in a single palette let alone on a very affordable brand like Wet N Wild and not to mention the amazing pigmentation of this eyeshadows. Any makeup lover should have this palette if not all three one called Blue Had Me at Hello and the Petal Pusher palette by wet n wild. They can be found at Walmart for $4.49 (how insane is that) I could not be any more happy with this palette.

I hope you liked this post .... Thanks for reading and take care xoxo
