Manicure Monday: Essie 'Good Morning Hope' (Breast Cancer AwarenessCollection)

Hello There Ladies:

I know, I know! I've been absent for a few days and you have missed me right? (Ok maybe not) but I've missed blogging and sharing my thoughts to anyone who reads.

As you might have noticed lately I've been photographing three fingers, since my index nail broke and a few days ago my middle finger nail broke so I'm back to having short nails :(

Good Morning Hope: is a light milky baby pink.

Wow! The formula was awful, it is super sheer and for picture above it took 4 coats (sigh) it dried a bit slow but it finally reached opacity.

This polish and the other 3 are a repromote from last years Breast Cancer Awareness Collection. I got it when my local Shoppers Drugmart couldn't sell them anymore and were selling them for $2.

I guess it's worth the $2 but not the $9.99 they are selling them for, although is for a good cause.

I hope you have liked this post and maybe buy it for yourself ;) Thanks for reading.

Manicure Monday: Essie "Naughty Nautical" Summer 2013 Collection

Hey there beauties

I have yet another spectacular nail polish. It's Essie's Naughty Nautical! This was release for summer 2013. But let me just say after this post you will give the nail polish never ending love❤.

The application was a one coater but I did put a second coat just to be on the safe side. It does have some shimmer which is  mostly visible on the bottle, but it was quite hidden on the nail. But then again it gives the polish a very good depth and makes it shine on its own.

This formula was absolutely spectacular, Nowadays is hard to find one coater nail polishes. Drying time was excellent. Essie made it again by launching a very solid collection that keeps the nail polish lovers buying their products.
Unfortunately to me this was the only shade in the whole collection that stood out, as the other ones look identical to something else, nevertheless I love this shade and formula.

Thank you for reading this spectacular post and I hope you read my next post! Thank you all once again for reading and take care! Xoxo

Ps. Co-written with my cousin Veronica :)

Mani Monday: Revlon "Royal Cloak" Masquerade Collection 2011

Hello pretty people in the world:

I have a fabulous nail polish that will make your nails love you even more! It's Revlon Royal Cloak! Does it sound familiar? Revlon Royal Cloak belongs to the Masquerade collection. Revlon Fierce is another nail polish of the collection and you can see the post here.

Royal Cloak:

The formula was a bit watery a bit more than I normally like it but in the picture it took two coats. the Application was a bit patchy so a third coat was needed. The polish itself has white particles but less dense than shimmer which is a bit noticeable on the nail. The brush is a bit thin and it dries semi matte so if you want a shiny result, a top coat is needed.

Overall I truly like how it's a dark grape color but I don't like how it dries matte. I usually like shiny nails so it looks as it s glowing from within.

I hope you enjoy reading this fabulous post on this fabulous nail polish monday and keep being creative ... Thanks for reading and take care xoxo

Ps.It was written In collab with my awesome Cousin Veronica ;)

Mani Monday: OPI "If You Moust You Moust" From Minnie Mouse Collection

Hello There Ladies:

Happy Canada Day!!! Today is our 146th birthday for this amazing countey and i fe el so very proud!!

I want to start by saying that this is not the most unique color but it is very pretty and why not elegant looking color that makes your hand very girly but polished haha.

This polish was launched for the 'Vintage Minnie Mouse' collection in which they launched 3 shades and a glittery top coat. Out of the 3 polishes the most interesting was this one.

If You Moust You Moust: is a bright pink creme.

I had no application issues with this, although it was a bit watery but workable. For picture above it took 3 coats for opacity added China Glaze Fast Fordward top coat.

This was a limited edition shade that came out back in May of 2012 in different nail salons for $9.99. However, it might be available but if not they might just relaunch it in some other collection if not you might just find a closer shade in another brand.

I hope you liked this mini review ... Thanks for reading and please follow on Instagram under same name! xoxoxo

Manicure Monday: Essie Nothing Else Metals

Hello There Ladies:

Today I have this metallic nail polish that I'm kind of crazy about. I'm loving metallic colors. This is the second shade I have worn from this collection and not everything is perfect I know they tried to branch out of what they are use to.

Nothing Else Metals: is a Silver Lilac

Picture below is further away from light showing the rosy purple side to it.

The shade is just so womanly which is quite nice in a nail polish is so rosy with a touch of purple and metallic haha!

Now onto the 'bad' haha, not everything on this polish is good as the application is quite a pain in the you know what! Some nails required one coat but others needed two. This also requires some tricky application skills just because you can't go over twice in the same stroke as  it will take the previous stroke and looks ugh! plain ugly. Now lets go back to the good side drying time.

Drying time was marvelous it dried in record time but don't get fooled and apply top coat, because it will take some of the polish away *sigh*. Give it a good 5 minutes before applying top coat.

Essie Mirrors Metallic Collection:

2. Nothing Else Metals
3. Penny Talk
4. No Place Like Chrome
5. Good As Gold (Not Owned)

I hope you have liked this post please comment if you have anything to say or just subscribe I will greatly appreciate it. You can also find me at canadianbeautyfinds both on Instagram and Facebook ... Thanks and take care xoxoxo

Quo Summer Collection 2013 "Neon Safari"

Hello There Ladies:

Quo has recently launched a new collection, which I was looking for a name but I  was never able to find it. Due to the background picture it must be Safari related collection, since the name of some of their products has a wild name. Could the name be "Sunset Safari collection"?

Recently Quo has been working really hard, in a very short period of time has released three collections including this one, but also they launched two other collections one called Edge of Opulance and the Butterfly collection.

This collection has two eye palettes a bronzer duo and two lip glosses along with a set of brushes.

Untamed Allure Eye Palette: has 12 eyeshadows consisting of various colors from lavender, grey, blue, purple and black. This palette can definitely be used to create a smokey look. This palette is retailed at $18. Also some eyeshadow has a pattern of animal prints to it which can be seen in the picture below.

Natural Temptation Eye Palette: this is also a 12 eyeshadow set palette. This is your typical neutrals palette. The colors range from browns, pink, white, camel color. This palette has some branch looking pattern into some if the eyeshadow like you can see on the picture below. This palette is retailed at $18

Wild Glow Bronzer Duo: this set has two bronzer one is dark for contour and the other one is much lighter for your highlight. This is retailed at $15.

Now onto the Lip Glosses: for this collection they decided to put out 4. All of them look very nude-y. My only guess is that Quo was going to colors that most appeal to the ladies in which don't want a lot of color.
From Left-Right: Pink Sand, Desert Bloom, Plum Sky, Barely There. These glosses are retailed at $10 each.

I hope you have liked this mini review of the latest Quo Collection which is now available in any stores Across Canada. Remember Quo is only sold exclusively at Shoppers Drugmart.

Thanks for reading and please check out my social media like Facebook and Instagram both at canadianbeautyfinds ... xoxo

M.A.C Archie's Girls Collection Swatches and Review

Wow I am over the moon, I'm so excited because this is the first time I've ever bought anything from a MAC Collection. The weirdest thing is that I am not familiar with Archie's comics at all. I never paid attention to comic books before and didn't know who they were either, until I saw one of the books being sold on the side rack as I was waiting in line to cash out my items at Walmart.

Although I am not familiar with the comic book I dislike the promo picture they came up with. The girls and the guy do not represent the collection at all. Packaging is a different story as it is super cute it gives a nice touch to any girls makeup collection ;) even for decoration purposes.

For this collection they came up with 2 quads, 4 pigments, 4 lipsticks, 4 lipglosses, 2 blushes and 1MSF, and 2 eyeliners.

Out of all I bought the 2 pigments from Betty side, and Veronica's eyeliner. I didn't go too crazy.

Betty's Pigments: L-R Cheers My Dear!, Lucky In Love.

Cheers My Dear!: is a light lavender with hints of pink, with a frosty finish.

Lucky In Love: is a shimmering light blue-ish green with a frosty finish.

Bottles Bottom Showcasing their names:

Veronica's Eyeliner Pencil: Designer Purple

Designer Purple: Purple with Violet glitter. For this one you have to swatch it at least twice to get intensity.

The Packaging in close up:

The names they came up with for yhe pigments are so corky and cute except for the eyeliner, it tells me nothing with "Designer Purple".
These are now available at any M.A.C counter and they are for a limited time only. The pigments are $27.50 CND and the eyeliner for $20. To get a hold of these items I went twice. The first pigment I went to MAC store but were sold out so I went to The Bay and got Lucky in Love, then on another day went to get the eyeliner and the other pigment at the MAC store.
I'll be making looks with these items at some point because I can't wait to start using it :)

Until my next post ... Take care and don't forget to follow me on Instagram at canadianbeautyfinds as well as on Facebook!!!

Manicure Mondays: Revlon Edgy Elegance Collection 2011

Hi My Dear Readers:

Seriously the weather now a days gives a new meaning to the word "unpredictable". One day is super cold and the next day is 6C melting all the snow that deposited on us just last Friday which was 26cm, unexpected for Toronto region by the way. Now is just lakes everywhere which will be frozen by evening time because is going below zero ... Ughh lets move on instead :) Shall we??

Today I have two nail polish swatches from Revlon The Edgy Ellegance Collection from 2011. This collection came with 8 new shades, the ones that got my attention were Fierce and Downtown. I believe that the shades that Revlon came up with are quite unique.

Revlon Edgy Elegance 2011 L-R : Downtown, Fierce

Fierce: This is a foil Magenta-ish berry color
Revlon: Fierce

Downtown: this is a foil Aqua-ish blue
Revlon: Downtown

The formula was excellent it has good coverage even on the first coat but second coat is definitely needed. Also this doesn't stain your nails even without a base coat as I tried it out. Drying time is quite fast, it doesn't need top coat, but in order to last longer then is needed.

Hope you enjoyed this swatches from the Fall Collection of 2011. Thanks for stopping by ... Take care!!!
