Manicure Monday : OPI Sprung "Mariah Carey Collection"

Hello There My Lovelies!

Today I have this nail polish from OPI which is from Mariah Carey collection which was launched at beginning of this year, or for spring of 2013. For the launch of this collection they released 4 Studio Shades and 4 Stage Shades. The Stage Shades are what OPI is calling Liquid Sand which is gritty matte glitter.

I only bought two polishes out of the eight that they released. One for their regular line and one of the liquid sands called Get your number.

Sprung: is a copper with multicolored shimmer.

Application: this one as many OPI polishes have good consistency. It took 3 coats to get full opacity to get shiny results. Top coat is not really necessary but for extra life out of your mani then I guess is needed.

When I saw the bottles display at my local Beauty Salon I had high expectations for this polish. This really stood out for me the most that made me buy it. Now that I have applied and seen it on my nails I don't feel as it has that 'wow' factor that I had when I first saw it. Is it pretty? Yes! But it lacks that metallic, in your face kind of look.

Anyways what did you think about it? Is it worth picking it up?

Where can you buy it? At any beauty salon or any store that carries OPI polishes, however this were limited edition polishes, so I'm not sure whether you can still get your paws on it. OPI polishes are retailed as low as $9.95 or as high as $11.

I hope you have liked this post and stay tuned for 'Get Your Number' swatches. Don't forget to follow me on Instagram and Facebook both under canadianbeautyfinds ... Thanks in advance and take care xoxoxo

NYX 10 Color Eyeshadow Palette : Runway Collection in Velvet Rope

Hi There My Lovelies!

Today I have a review and swatches of these eyeshadows. NYX cosmetics is not a brand where it can be easily found in Canada except Rexall. Even at Rexall is not that many products that they carry and these palettes are not one of those products.
NYX cosmetics is a pretty good brand, just like any other brand that they have they're ups and downs.
These palette is a purple fans dream and I'm one of them. This palette is called Velvet Rope ( what kind of a name is that?) I think that the name is very lame, at least they should've come up with something more meaningful. What do you think? I would've named it .... Hmmm purple obsession ... Or maybe?!?! Hmm I didn't know that name picking was hard ... Ok let's move on then lol

This palette comes with 10 eyeshadows ranging from the lightest to the darkest purple, also has a big mirror that can be used, as it is big enough for makeup application.

Here in this picture can be seen the different shading of the eyeshadows in details. Also you can see a slot for the sponge tip applicator that every company bothers to add into their palettes, even if they are useless, simply because these applicators doesn't apply makeup flawlessly.

First Row: is a very much shades of purple except the second eyeshadow which is a dark navy purple, which is kind of unexpected and not commonly seen, none the less is a very pretty unique color. The last color has some finely milled glitter which is quite transferable to the Application not like Shadowy lady by Mac in which all the glitter isn't transferable at all; and you just end up with another dark purple eyeshadow, more like black to be honest!

Second Row: this row has two shades of purple. The second eyeshadow in this row tends to lean into a frosty pinky lavender shade which is very pretty. The fourth color is a very dark black purple very nice to do a smokey eye. And the last one is a frosty pink.

Overall I like this palette a lot, the pigmentation is phenomenal in very single eyeshadow in the palette and there is simply no let down at all. I really recommend this palette if you have access to it for purchasing.

I bought this palette along with Champagne and Caviar palette from the same collection, I ordered it online from eBay and with shipping and all it cost about $18 -$20 which is not bad at all. I have mine for around two years so I don't know how prices has fluctuated during this time.

Manicure Monday : Kleancolor Nail Laquer in 22 Barbie Pink

Hello There My Lovelies!

In my nail polish experience I've come across some hot pink nail polishes that has caught my attention and been my all time Favourite but this one has topped off any of this other polishes.

22 Barbie Pink: hot pink.

Application: for picture above it took 2 coats, first coat covered the nail enough but it needed the second coat to full get opacity. Formula was just a tiny bit gloppy, it also dried semi-matte or dull looking so a shiny top coat is a must.

Just an overall observation I've discovered that most of Kleancolor nail polishes do dry a bit dull but I certainly don't mind since I use top coat anyways.

I also want to warn about the sloppy application I did, no wonder because it was 2 a.m and I wanted to go to sleepy with nails polished ;)

Lise Watier Jumbo Pencil Swatches & Review!

Hello there My Lovelies!

Today I have this 2 eyeshadow crayon from Lise Watier. Lise Watier is a French Canadian cosmetic company hence their name and has been around the makeup industry for quite some time.

Their makeup products are very innovative and try to place themselves in the top of the game. Their products are quite pricey and are sold at department store like Shoppers Drugmart, The Bay, Sears, etc. Aside from the price tag their products are very high quality.

These Jumbo Pencil by Lise Watier are in the same idea to the NYX Jumbo pencil. These Jumbo Crayon Pencil come in three shades only, out of the 3 I own 2 only. These pencil are marketed at $19 each.

What does Lise Watier say :
-Multi-function crayon for eyes and lips.
- Easy application.
-Unique texture, velvety and nontransferable.
-Waterproof formula provides flawless long wear.
-Crayons that go on easily and stay in,place all day long.
-Volatile formula: Close tightly after every use.
-Dermatologist tested.

The quality of these pencils are very creamy but they set quite fast so you have to work with them as fast as you can to blend it out.

NYX on the other side never set so they crease. Because Lise Watier set fast they last a long time and doesn't crease.

The shades I own are Moonlight and Pêche Melba . The one I didn't get to buy was Sunshine.

Moonlight: is a light frosty pinky lavender

Pêche Melba: is a peachy orangey shade. These would be a great base for Amber Lights by Mac as both would compliment each other making it very vibrant.

I hope you liked this post and don't find it to be picture heavy. I wanted to give an accurate review of the products. If you are outside of Canada you can find it at lisewatier.com

Want to check out some FOTD that i've done with these Jumbo Pencil? check this one first here using Moonlight, and here using Pêche Melba

Manicure Monday: Nubar Stardust

Hi there my lovelies:

Today I have this Nubar nail polish. I think that Nubar makes the best duo chrome nail polishes. I really love duo or multi chrome nail polishes is just looks like you have different nail polishes at once depending on how you move your hand your polish shifts.

I previously did another polish by Nubar which was multi chrome which can be found here for more info.

Stardust: is a duo chrome nail polish which has a strong light orange base which shifts into pink.

The application is a trouble free application it was sheer at first but second coat made it happen. Since Nubar is not found at any retailers I have to buy them on eBay from a trusted seller. Altogether costs about $8 shipping including. If eBay doesn't ring your bell you can go to nailpolishcanada.com, I never bought from there but soon I will.

So I hoped you liked this post I hope you visit my Instagram or like me on Facebook both at canadianbeautyfinds ... Take care xoxo

Kleancolor Everlasting Lipsticks Swatches & Review

Hi there my lovelies:

Ugh this weather is making anxious for summer or at least spring temperatures. I just had it with this cold weather!

Today I have some lipsticks swatches for you guys. I thought that maybe lip swatches would be better but right now I'm going through the "extreme dry lips" and if I do it it would be altered in some way. I will do FOTD using this lippies.

Kleancolor in Canada is not very known but, this makeup warehouse where I get my makeup they carry Kleancolor products and I'm very happy they do. This brand really needs some recognition just because they're products are quite good and not to mention the good quality of it.

Here is a picture of all the lippies that I have, I own 6 colors. The lipsticks are sold for $1.99 each or 2 for $3. Which is not bad.

From L-R : 704 Mocha Cream, 738 Cranberry Mix, 703 Hot Cocoa, 743 Pink, 714 Mystery, 707 Mauve.

704 Mocha Cream : Brick reddish brown
738 Cranberry Mix : Burgandy red with multicolored finely milled glitter.

703 Hot Cocoa: dark brown
743 Pink: frosty baby pink

714 Mystery: medium reddish brown
707 Mauve: medium mauve-ish brown

My favourites out of the 6 is 734 Pink, and 738 Cranberry Mix. That baby frosty pink is to die for, it gives a nice shine and looks very appealing. Cranberry Mix is a very interesting shade I think that those glitter gives a nice touch to the shade making it cool! Hahaha.

This lipsticks are very moisturizing to the lips. This does have a cherry feel to it, it cannot be smelled but you can feel the taste in your lips.

I really recommend this products to you simply because this is a steal if you find it. If I could recommend something to Kleancolor would be to have sturdier packaging because is quite flimsy. I like how this lipsticks have a nice look to it in terms of packaging, they look quite fancy and that gives a nice vibe to it but fix the flimsy packaging please!

Manicure Monday: Color Blast by Orly 509 Shockwave

Hi my beautiful readers:

Happy Easter Monday Everyone!
Well today I have this nail polish that is so vibrant and yells *summer*. This polish looks like any other bluish teal very bright and attention caller polish.

Color Blast by Orly is another company that is under Orly wings, I guess I could say that Quo by Orly and this brand are sisters if not they are cousins. I did a Quo by orly manicure as well which can be found here. Color Blast by Orly is only sold at Rexall.

Rexall is another drugstore which if you follow my blog you would have heard unless you live here in Canada.

509 Shockwave: Bluish teal.

Application: For picture above is a two coated manicure with top coat. The first coat was very sheer but second coat it even it out. It dried very fast which I was impressed with.

This is a very dupe-able color is not that unique but it's very pretty none the less. This is sold for $8.99 I however, got it on sale for $4.99, I wanted to give this brand a try and I like it so far, again this is a Rexall brand working with Orly.

Thanks for reading this post don't forget to follow me on Instagram or like me on Facebook at canadianbeautyfinds. Thanks in advance take care xoxo
