FOTD: One Shadow Look Feat L'oreal Infallible in 037 Metallic Lilac

Hello There Beauties:

For long time now, I wanted to do a review on all of my L'oreal Infallible eyeshadows. This eyeshadow pots has become very popular since they are a dupe or has similarities to The Armani Eyes to Kill which are very expensive, of course I don't own any so I wouldn't know if they are dupes or comparable.

I own so many that if I do a post it will be incredibly long. I was watching videos on YouTube and I came to EmilyNoel83 which is an awesome favorite YouTuber of mine. She was talking about one shadow looks, meaning that it gives different depth but you only use one shadow for your whole look.

In this look I used the 037 Metallic Lilac which was release on the Cannes Film Festival 2012, this is a purple grey with flecks of purple shade in the pan which gives that lilac purple-y tinge to the look. Which you can see here

This shade gives different dimension depending on the lighting and the angle. I really love it I am so happy I can pull a look with very little effort. Anyone can do this being an expert, halfway with knowledge or no idea of what the heck you are doing.

EYES:

1. Rimmel Undercover Eye Primer

2. L'oreal Infallible in 037 Metallic lilac

-- applied all over the lid packing the color couple of times to make it more intense.

-- took a fluffy brush swiping some product and buffing the color right into the crease

3. Urban Decay Liquid Liner 24/7 in Perversion (used to line upper line)
4. Maybelline the Falsies in Flared
5. Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow/Liner in Taupe.

I hope you have liked this post as it is a bit different putting two posts into one. Please let me know if is something that you want me to keep doing. Thanks again and don't forget to smile as it is the best tool you have xoxo

Maybelline EyeStudio Quad in 90 Irresistibly Ivy Swatches & Review

Hello There Beauties:

There is no doubt saying that I love Maybelline, they are ne of those companies that work so hard to maintain in their own pedestal. As you may know I love this little quads they are so versatile and the colors are to die for.

This is my second palette from them that I own, don't get me wrong I have 5 more quads in my makeup stash waiting there to be reviewed ;). The other palette that I reviewed was a LE quad called Green With Fashion which is a very nice quad with green shadows and such, as always I did a post here on how to wear the quad in your eyes.

This palette is not limited edition, is their permanent line which is good news if you want to get it. The shades on this palette are buttery smooth and really good color payoff on each shadow.

1. Is a Shimmery Champagne Beige
2. Is a Shimmery bronzey copper
3. Is a Shimmery greenish Teal
4. Is a shimmery Red, bronzey copper

By the swatches above you can see that the second shade looks a bit duochromy like a metallic yellowy orange on the second shot. This shades are so beautiful that you wouldn't believe they are drugstore. The downside is that they are powdery but with a swipe and doing your foundation last, you wouldn't even notice or bother you that there is fallout.

The packaging on these quads are quite flimsy with the couchy lid that sometimes doesn't shut properly. The backside gives you an idea on how to wear the colors on your eyes, along with the ingredients.

I am incredibly impress and happy that I own this quad. You can find these where Maybelline is sold for $8.99 but on sale you can grab it for $6.99 (if you are lucky, like I was)

I hope you have liked this post and please come back for more ... Take care and stay beautiful, don't forget to smile as that's the best tool you have xoxo

Manicure Monday: Essie "Naughty Nautical" Summer 2013 Collection

Hey there beauties

I have yet another spectacular nail polish. It's Essie's Naughty Nautical! This was release for summer 2013. But let me just say after this post you will give the nail polish never ending love❤.

The application was a one coater but I did put a second coat just to be on the safe side. It does have some shimmer which is  mostly visible on the bottle, but it was quite hidden on the nail. But then again it gives the polish a very good depth and makes it shine on its own.

This formula was absolutely spectacular, Nowadays is hard to find one coater nail polishes. Drying time was excellent. Essie made it again by launching a very solid collection that keeps the nail polish lovers buying their products.
Unfortunately to me this was the only shade in the whole collection that stood out, as the other ones look identical to something else, nevertheless I love this shade and formula.

Thank you for reading this spectacular post and I hope you read my next post! Thank you all once again for reading and take care! Xoxo

Ps. Co-written with my cousin Veronica :)

The Balm Nude'tude Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hello There Ladies:

Nowadays going nude or using toned down shades is the trend. Every cosmetic company has their own nude palette which is basically colors that are easy to wear but still giving you the ultimate weapon to look glamorous.

The Balm cosmetics is no exceptions and launched their own version of the Nude palette called Nude'tude. As you may know that Urban Decay was the one who started it all with their Naked Palette. not launching only one but two Naked palettes plus the Naked Basics Palette.

The Nude'tude palette contains 12 shades just as the UD Naked palettes. The Nude'tude is a bit unique for the reason that has a lot more daring colors that are easily to wear.

The first 6 shades are more wearable but the second six is more daring as for that sexy redish burgundy called Sexy or even that glittery dark plum called Silly.

I think that the Balm did a great job in the  packaging department as they did this sturdy and sleek and travel friendly palette, where you can take anywhere and not worried that your eyeshadows will get crush or damage.

Ok back to the shadows shall we?! As mentioned it has 12 eyeshadows to the advantage that each shadow has its name.

On the first row:

Sassy: is a frosted white
Stubborn: is a light medium peach
Selfish: is a frosted taupe mushrommy
Sophisticated: is a dark brown with bronze shimmer
Sexy: is a matte redish burgundy
Serious: is a matte medium dark black

On the second row:

Snobbyis a gold shimmery dark yellow
Stand-offish: is a bronze shimmery brown
Sultry: is a medium satiny brown
Schtitzo: is a goldeny bronzey brown
Silly: is a reddish brown with flecks of coppery sparkle.
Sleek: is a matte darkish black brown

This palette originally was introduced to the market back in 2011 but this is a palette that is going to be timeless because it has shades that are so universally flattering to any skin tone. This is sold at Sephora, at the balm cosmetics website, Nail Polish Canada, Rexall etc.

I personally bought it at Rexall for $36, Rexall carries the Balm cosmetics line.

Overall I am so very happy with my purchase, I had this palette for a while and I've been playing with it for quite sometime. You can recreate looks on so many levels from light to medium to dark, very easy to blend and amazing color payoff and are buttery smooth on most if not all shades.

I hope you have liked this post and made it through, take care and be creative!!!

FOTD: Pink Rebel Feat. Maybelline Color Tattoo Pigment

Hello There Ladies:

Pigments are always fun to use but it could be messy if not handled carefully. I recently did a review on these pigments by Maybelline in this case I decided to use 20 Pink Rebel.

The pigment from Maybelline 20 Pink Rebel is a bluish purpleish pink however when swatched you can see the beauty but when used on your lid it goes sheer and is pink and the other colors are not really shown.

Despite of the duochromish of the pigment not showing when applied to the lid is very nice to use and very easy as is really blendable.

Products used on the eye:

1. Too Faced Shadow Insurance
2. Maybelline Color Tattoo in 55 Inked in Pink (applied all over the lid)
3. Maybelline Color Tattoo Pigment in 20 Pink Rebel (pigment was padded on top of the cream for more of a vibrant look all over the lid and blended into the crease)
4. NYX 10 Color Eyeshadow Palette The Runway Collection in 03 Champagne & Caviar (used dark brown shadow in the palette on 1/3 of the outer V to create a smokiness and make some definition)
5. NYX Single Shadow in 153A Ballerina Dream (applied between the Pink Rebel and dark brown to make both colors blend and use it on the outer part of the brown to blend even further)
6. Wet n Wild Single Shadow in Brûlée ( used as a highlight on the Browbone)

7. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Liquid Eyeliner
8. L'oreal Carbon Black Mascara (used to coats on upper lashes)
9. Revlon HD Pencil Liner (used on waterline)

So here it is to the end of this post and hope you have liked this post. Please keep out on the lookout for the other pigments in which I reviewed here. Thanks for reading and stay happy and healthy ... Take care xoxoxo

Mani Monday: Revlon "Royal Cloak" Masquerade Collection 2011

Hello pretty people in the world:

I have a fabulous nail polish that will make your nails love you even more! It's Revlon Royal Cloak! Does it sound familiar? Revlon Royal Cloak belongs to the Masquerade collection. Revlon Fierce is another nail polish of the collection and you can see the post here.

Royal Cloak:

The formula was a bit watery a bit more than I normally like it but in the picture it took two coats. the Application was a bit patchy so a third coat was needed. The polish itself has white particles but less dense than shimmer which is a bit noticeable on the nail. The brush is a bit thin and it dries semi matte so if you want a shiny result, a top coat is needed.

Overall I truly like how it's a dark grape color but I don't like how it dries matte. I usually like shiny nails so it looks as it s glowing from within.

I hope you enjoy reading this fabulous post on this fabulous nail polish monday and keep being creative ... Thanks for reading and take care xoxo

Ps.It was written In collab with my awesome Cousin Veronica ;)

Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Swatches & Review

Hello There Ladies:

Pigments are eyeshadows in a loose powder form. Maybelline has got in line in creating pigments. If not mistaken MAC has been the leading company of creating this kinds of products. Aside from MAC, L'oreal created the H.I.P pigments and later they withdrew them from the market. I per say picked a few pigments from L'oreal. NYX also has pigments.

Maybelline launched 10 shades from neutral to bold colors. At first i was intrigued by this and I was tempted to buy them but the price was a bit much.

One day I walked to a Shoppers Drugmart at a downtown location and found them on clearance for $2.99 why? I have no idea but I picked the few colors that was left over. I don't understand why would they be on sale when is a brand new product. Needless to say I was so happy because I was able to get my hands on these when elsewhere are pretty darn expensive.

The colors I picked up are 20 Pink Rebel, 15 Potent Purple and 10 Brash Blue.

20 Pink Rebel:

15 Potent Purple:

10 Brash Blue:

Let's talk about packaging: it comes in a container made our plastic and there is a sifter to prevent spillage but its hard to get the product out.

I think that these pigments are very good and that even though they are drugstore they are really good which I am impressed but so were the L'oreal hip pigments.

So far I have used Pink Rebel and is a nice pink color I have made a look with but you have to wait for it. In any case I will link it here.

I hope you have liked this post and made you decide to at least give it a try as it is worth trying.

These pigments are sold at any drugstore for $7.99 up to $9.99 they came up with 12 shades so we will see if I decide to pick any up.

Thanks for reading and take care ... Xoxoxo

Rimmel London Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer

Hello There Ladies:

Today I have a review on a newly launch to the market which is a primer from Rimmel London.

I have heard of other companies trying to release their own version of the ultimate eyeshadow primer for example L'oreal release their De-creaser primer which in Canada hasn't been launched to, maybe is not in their minds or is just taking them some time to release it. Wet n Wild has also done their primer which in the US is a new product where every YouTuber is mentioning.

Now, my goal is to find a good primer. Primer is an essential tool for makeup, it just make your eyeshadows more vibrant and prevents creasing. Creasing means those horrible lines on the folding of your eyes.

So far I have reviewed two primers the Prestige Primed & Ready and the Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Rimmel has recently launch this product to the canadian market less than a month ago, as soon as I saw it I was absolutely happy that I get to try another primer.

Onto the packaging: the tube on this primer looks like a mascara tube on a white background and with a red cap.

The applicator on this has a sponge tip like some of the lipglosses that most companies make. This applicator makes the application a bit easy as you can control how much product to put on your lid.

The product itself meaning the primer has a white-ish finish and it feels a bit granulated in other words it feels like you can feel particles, of course it cannot be felt or it doesn't feel like it could hurt your eye at all. Once the product is blended it leaves a white film on your eyes which works for neutralizing any visible veins you might have it discoloration.

What does Rimmel London claim this product to do? Read the picture below as that the backside of the packaging.

Overall I am quite happy of this product as it claims that it will help to prevent creasing for 4 and up to 7 hours, although it could last a bit longer as it did when I wore this primer under my eyeshadow look.

I recommend this product I think is definitely a good product to give a try and the price is not bad just $7.99 at Shoppers Drugmart. So far I have not seen this elsewhere than Shoppers Drugmart I don't know whether is just an exclusive items to them or it just taking a bit of time for other stores to carry them.

Manicure Monday: Wet n Wild Megalast "I Need A Refresh-Mint"

Hello There ladies:

Another Monday has come and I have another manicure with yet another polish from wet n wild.

I love this line Megalast salon Nail color, the brush is fantastic as it is wide and covers your whole nail beautifully making you not to overload your nail around the edges and cuticles. The shades are fantastic and another polish that caught my attention. I just wish more nail polish companies make this kinds of brushes.

I Need a Refresh-Mint: minty green, turquoise

In the picture below you can see how this new line has change their bottle and also embossed their brand name into the bottle, making it look a bit more of a higher brand look. Essie does the same embossing idea.

This is what the back of the bottle looks like including the name of the polish.

Application: it took two thin coats to reach full opacity, although it could've been enough with one but two is ideal. The formula was a dream, very easy to work with.Again, the brush is beautifully designed and it covers your nail with just one swipe .

Wet n Wild is found at Walmart and this polish line in particular is for $2.99. They have a good range of shades.

The wearability of this polish is not the longest it took about 5 days for it to start chipping but then again is a lot better than their Color Shine line as it only lasted me 2 days max.

I hope you have liked this post with a couple pictures more than usual. Thanks for reading and take care ... Don't forget to follow me on Instagram canadianbeautyfinds and twitter cndbeautyfinds

Monday Manicure: Zoya "Roxy"

Hello There Ladies:

Another Monday is here and many of you might think is dreadful but what about putting a good face or hand to face the week.

Zoya, is not really available here in Canada unless you go to Trade secrets which is at major malls or Sally beauty supply which are only two locations in my area.

Roxy: has magenta glitter in a magenta base.

Application on a first coat was patchy but second coat was very opaque. This polish is a sister of Apple from Zoya as well.

The formula was good but taking the polish off was a pain as it was mostly glitter. The color was very admirable and got a few compliments but I dislike any polish with glitter.

I hope you have liked this little post and maybe follow me on twitter at cndbeautyfinds or on Instagram at canadianbeautyfinds ... Thanks for reading and take care xoxo
