Manicure Monday: Nicole by OPI "Stolen Kisses"

Hello there ladies:

Lately I've been in the kick of Fall although we are still a few days away to be officially in the Fall season. I typically don't like this kinds of colors as I find them to be very wearable and so common but I decided to give it a go.

Stolen Kisses: is a rich pink-magenta creme.

Overall this is not a color that appeals to me with a 'wow' factor, however in the bottle you can see ribbons of gold  which definitely don't get to see in the nail, I really would've wanted to see that, would've given the polish a different look. In the end I ended up coating my nails with Essie's Pure Pearlfection top coat to give the manicure a different dimension

The only reason I bought this polish was solely for the name 'stolen kisses', is a funny cutsy name, any OPI product has a  cute, funny or remarkable name.

The application was a tiny bit watery but nothing that would make me feel bad using it. The brush is good as always giving me a good control over the application. For photo above it took two coats of polish, which I kind of expected since I know Nicole by OPI makes good polishes.

This is a limited edition polish but Nicole by OPI can be found at any mass retailers across Canada for $8.99 to 9.99.

I hope you have liked this post and please come back for more ... Thanks for reading xoxo

Mani Monday: China Glaze "Peachy Keen"

Hello There Ladies:

What a rainy day, I wish it could be a bit more sunny but Tuesday it is.

China glaze is a cool brand with lots of colors to choose from. This brand is not the best for me as it chips quite quickly which is very unexpected since compared to other drugstore brand is on the pricier side.

Peachy Keen: is a true peach with a creme finish.

When I see this color if reminds me of carrot juice with a lot of milk yum! I truly love this color is so good looking and yummy! I got a few compliments and they all express same sentiments of being a unique shade.

The formula on this was average and nothing to complains about, as the application was flawless. For picture above I used two thin coats to reach full opacity.

China glaze is available at Sally Beauty Supply or you can order online at www.nailpolishcanada.com which are sold for $6.95.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have liked this post ... Take care xoxoxo

Manicure Monday: Revlon 571 Posh

Hello There Ladies:

Today I have this beautiful green that makes you think of the forest and all it's vegetation.

Posh: is dark green forest creme

I am really digging this shade a lot, I think this is the perfect summer color and is quite unique although you can't really tell I'm sure is a color that every brand makes but it's really pretty, I even got compliments from man which is quite weird and uncommon (for me that is).

This polish was hassle free application, this could be a one coat mani but second is needed just to cover up some bold spot in between.

I hope you like this quick post as I have a bit of writer's block ... Anyways take care and please follow or just leave me a comment I'll appreciate it if you do xoxo

Manicure Monday: Sally Hansen Lustre Shine in 006 Lava

Hello There Ladies:

Happy Victoria Day! Today is a national holiday kind of day, and what a great way to celebrate then with a nail polish.

If you didn't know this is one of the newest line that Sally Hansen came up with, which is a line dedicated to duo or multi chrome polishes called 'Lustre Shine'. As well I recently seen that Revlon has come up with a similar idea but instead it's called 'chameleon' (I think).

Lava: Shimmery duochrome with a orangey pink flashes.

This is a very interesting shade and I really enjoyed it. Although I can say this is a more fall color polish than summer, as it reflects the color leaves change.

On the picture above can be seen the color change from pink to orange. Also this is a three coat application. The first coat was very sheer, second coat made it a bit more solid but third coat reached full opacity. The polish was a bit runny.

I hope you liked this post and hope to see you soon ... Thanks for reading and take care xoxo

Manicure Monday: Maybelline Color Show Wined & Dined

Hi there:

So today I decided to come up with a new series called "Manicure Mondays" that means that every Monday I'll be featuring nail polish swatches of the week, also you might see them as MM. I thought that this was a fantastic idea just to features a nail polish every week since I'm running out of ideas on what to post.

Today ill be featuring Maybelline. Color Show nail polish in Wined &Dined. This is a dark brown with a hint of cranberry, plummy color, It has a multicolor hidden shimmer.
The formula was quite terrible I was disappointed since it was my very first purchase from this line. I did 3coats for picture below, the first coat was very sheer, the second coat did cover abit more but in between it did bubble and when I did my third coat it was a mess. Thank goodness for top coat because that did help to look a bit more polished and less messy, I used Seche Vite.
My impression with the color show line was very poor and I decided not to buy any more polishes however, couple days ago I went to walmart and I spotted some good unique colors so I bought them, expect to see them soon. I just think that maybe I got a bad batch of Wined and Dined nail polish bottles. I really like this color a lot, but I'll give it another try and see how it goes!
What I like is that this is widely available and very affordable. Walmart has it for $2.46 and Shoppers Drugmart for $3.99, of course SDM has more colors and limited editions more than Walmart.

Until my next post ...

Essie Leading Lady (winter collection 2012)

Hi lovelies,

It been some time since I haven't updated any post. The holiday season do take your time but it also reminds of things you really care about Family! If you are reading I hope you had an amazing Christmas Day and Shopping day here in Canada on Boxing Day. I did go 'boxing' as I call it, after couple of years of not going. I went to the mall and bought some stuff at Bath & Body Works which I love, as well as se other stores ... Hahaha I love this time of year!

Onto my nail polish of the day which is Essie Leading Lady. This polish came out as their recently launch of their winter collection. This and where's my chauffeur I got from the whole collection, while the other color were very nice I just thought this were the most unique ones.

Leading lady it has a red base with lots of finely milled glitter. Application is not the best because it applies sheer and very patchy and you cannot go over it because it takes away the previous polish stroke and this is only on the first coat. By the second coat it covers a bit more so you need 3 coats. Once your manicure applied it looks like the base was actually black and red glitter. Overall I like the color I dislike the application it becomes a pain (in the you know where lol)

Until next time enjoy the holidays!!!
