Manicure Monday: Essence Color & Go in "38 Choose Me!"

Hello there ladies:

So we are officially in the Seasons of Fall and the weather temperatures is letting us know that now a sweater to be worn is a must, but I've seen brave people to wear tank top and shorts in 10°C.

Essence is a brand that we all know to be very affordable, but with all that; we expect for their products to suck and when you find something it kind of good it just makes your day.

38 Choose Me!: is a greenish, teal aqua-ish foil

Wow! This color has become my third polish of all times is just so good that you have to stare at it and be amazed every second. The name "Choose Me!" Is just so fitting, really you have to get this polish is just so stuningly beautiful.

The color is so hard to describe at some point you might even think it has some sort of duochrome but it could be a foil finish as well. For picture above is a three coat manicure without top coat, overall it dried super fast that a top coat is not necessary as i didn't use it at all.

This is the older version of their polishes which was priced at $1.49, now with their new bottles I am not sure if the color is still available.

Thank you so much for reading please come back for more reviews, looks, etc. take care xoxox

L'oreal Magic Smooth Soufflé Foundation

Hello There Ladies:

Foundation now a days is like a new innovation, every company is trying to come up with products that will interest their customers.

I for one am impress with this Soufflé foundation is just the smoothest product it ever touched my face; even more than my other foundation which is the Magic Nude liquid powder also by L'oreal.

The packaging is pretty bulky and there is not enough space for a brush to be swirled around as it is a bit small.
The way I apply is with a flat top kabuki brush, just because with my fingers I don't get an even application and I leave patches in between which isn't very flattering to the face. You can also use a stippling brush, it works just as good.

My shade is 532 Classic Tan is just the perfect shade for me. It comes in a lot of shades don't know how many exactly but there are lots to choose from.

Due to the new foundation that they are coming out I am not really sure whether is going to be discontinued, I wish they don't buy just in case I bought a back up because I love it so much.

This is not a new foundation as it been around for quite sometime.

In the picture above is a swatch of the foundation in here you can see it looks a bit of a mousse finish, and when spread it spreads beautifully I really love it. On the skin it feels lightweight as you have nothing and it covers your imperfections just nicely.

I hope you have liked this post and please keep coming back for more thanks for reading xoxoxo

Manicure Monday: Nicole by OPI "Stolen Kisses"

Hello there ladies:

Lately I've been in the kick of Fall although we are still a few days away to be officially in the Fall season. I typically don't like this kinds of colors as I find them to be very wearable and so common but I decided to give it a go.

Stolen Kisses: is a rich pink-magenta creme.

Overall this is not a color that appeals to me with a 'wow' factor, however in the bottle you can see ribbons of gold  which definitely don't get to see in the nail, I really would've wanted to see that, would've given the polish a different look. In the end I ended up coating my nails with Essie's Pure Pearlfection top coat to give the manicure a different dimension

The only reason I bought this polish was solely for the name 'stolen kisses', is a funny cutsy name, any OPI product has a  cute, funny or remarkable name.

The application was a tiny bit watery but nothing that would make me feel bad using it. The brush is good as always giving me a good control over the application. For photo above it took two coats of polish, which I kind of expected since I know Nicole by OPI makes good polishes.

This is a limited edition polish but Nicole by OPI can be found at any mass retailers across Canada for $8.99 to 9.99.

I hope you have liked this post and please come back for more ... Thanks for reading xoxo

The Balm Shady Lady Vol. 3 Swatches & Review

Hello there beautiful ladies:

Shady Lady the name always gets me, I just think of something shady under the table kind of thing.

Sometime ago I reviewed my other palette Shady Lady Vol. 2, this one is Vol. 3.

The packaging is very sturdy and travel friendly and has 9 different colors where you can match them however you want and come up with a nice makeup look. The pattern on this palette is nice and colorful. This also has the ingredients listed on the back cover as well as the eyeshadow colors ... Very smart thing by the balm ;)

Now as I mention it has 9 shadows from light to medium and dark, just a mix of everything.

Lusty Lee - is a silvery gray

Envious Erin - creamy white

Racy Kacy - copper brown

Safe Bet Annette - is a pastel pink

Come-hither Heather - is a mauvey taupe

Mani Monday China Glaze in "Sweet Hook"

Hello There Ladies:

Lets be real! On today's post you might cringe at my swatch picture, it just reminds me of when I first started wearing polish, which is being all over the place. I usually photograph my left hand as my nails always grow fast and I can paint it to perfection, however my index and pinky finger nails broke :( I just can't feature two nails that's just weird. On pic below is my right  hand with better nails but I just can't paint them nicely with my left hand so please excuse the look!!!

Sweet Hook: is a milky lavender pink

The formula was a tiny bit watery making my application to be messy as it was running everywhere. For this mani it took two coats, as the first one was patchy but second one evened out.

Again the formula could have been less watery and it took a bit of time to dry but the color was awesome so girly, very feminine, office appropriate.

China glaze can be found at Sally's beauty Supply, eBay, Nailpolishcanada.com or your local beauty salon.

I hope you have liked this post and excuse my nail appearance ... Thanks for reading, and don't forget to smile that's the best tool you have ;)

FOTD: Irresistibly Ivy Feat. Maybelline EyeStudio Quad

Hello There Beauties:

Recently i did a review on of my favorite quad of all time. I think it has the best combination that a quad could have, want to see my review click here

In the back of the palette it has a diagram on how it could be worn but I just thought that their way or my way it just works out beautifully.

EYES:

1. Too Faced Shadow Insurance
2. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold
3. Maybelline EyeStudio Quad in Irrisistibly Ivy
- Patted Gold color all over the lid and blended into the crease
- On a fluffy crease brush used Green shade on outer 1/3 into the crease blending into the Gold on the crease.
- Took copper shade with a light hand and blended into the crease mainly to blend all colors on the crease and not look harsh
- Dusted the creamy white on the Browbone bringing down to make it seamless
4. MAC Carbon took a pencil brush to apply on the outer 1/3 of eye to further define and smoke out the look abit, making sure that Green shade peeks through.

5. L'oreal Voluminous mascara in Carbon black 2coats.
6. Physicians Formula Eye Booster Liner - made a simple but short wing liner.
7. Wet n Wild Color Icon  Pencil in Mink Brown used on waterline.

Here we have come to the end of this post I hope you have like it and to check out the review I did for this palette. Thanks for reading and don't forget to smile that the best tool you have xoxo

Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara Review

Hello There Ladies:

Wow! I can't believe is the month of September already, I mean where did August go? I can't believe 31 days have already gone by.

Today I will review this awesome mascara. So far I have reviewed two other mascara that I have liked, which are the Maybelline XXL Mascara and L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes.

For me and makeup in general, and I know you might agree Mascara is the product that at least every girl uses.
Mascara is really easy to pull off as it accentuates your lashes. Also Mascara preferences changes depending on the girl who uses it, some girls like volume, thick lashes, long lashes, very black lashes or all of the above.

I think Maybelline best seller in terms of Mascara has been 'the Falsies' just because it elongates your lashes and thickens them as well.

The packaging is a nice classic tube in the color pink berry with metallic silver bluish-teal lettering.

Now lets talk about the wand. The wand is very cool as it has two sides to it. One side is curve but flat more like a spoon which you can use to coat your lashes at once, when turned the curve can help to make your lashes longer.

Also the wand can be bent to give more flexibility so when used you can wiggle the brush and work with you easily.

I seriously have the worst lashes in the world as they are straight, thin and I can't use washable mascara as it doesn't hold the curl so waterproof it is!

This is sold at any drugstore where Maybelline is sold I got it for $4.99 on sale but its retailed at $6.99 so be on the lookout for those sales as they make you save a bit

This is my holy grail mascara is just so good, makes my lashes very long and thickens them a lot. I hope you have liked this post with this amazing mascara.

So Have you given this mascara a try? If so what what are your thoughts??

Manicure Monday: NYX Girls in 109 Sunday Afternoon

Hello There Ladies:

Happy Labor Day! I am sure most of you are out and about, me on the other hand i had to work, but it's okay I just pretend is not holiday just to make my life less sad hahaha!!

On today's post I'll be featuring a polish brand that I haven't used before which is NYX Girls, which belongs to NYX Cosmetics.
This polish is a nice neutral but not so neutral nor boring shade. I am really in love with this shade a lot that I wore for two weeks and I was impressed that it lasted that long on my nails.

Sunday Afternoon: is a foil, glittery pinkish silver.

The formula for this was sheer but it was build able, for photo above it took 3 coats. I was impressed by the way it driedas it dried in between coats.

The brush is a bit thin but it's a nice brush it gave me the ability to have more control of the placement and the way it spread the polish.

Since I was so in love It lasted two weeks with very minimal chipping, by the time it was time to remove it was a pain. This is mainly glitter base and the removing time took effort as any glittery mani would.

I hope you have liked this post and please keep coming back to read my post ... Take care and don't forget to always smile as that's the best tool you have ;) xoxo
